19th Floor Andaman Sky Lounge (Roof Top Bar and Restaurant) — Restaurant in Patong

Very unfortunate…. What could have been a lovely evening was ruined! We arrived at 5:45 pm. We were the only people there. We were seated, offered the seat near the rooftop edge to watch the sunset (that’s why we were there). Ordered our drinks. 15 minutes later a different server arrived. Took away our menus and put a reserved sign on our table. When we inquired ‘why’, we were told this table is reserved. But don’t worry, take your time. 15 minutes later, as we were halfway through our drinks, we were unceremoniously told that we MUST vacate the table. We were moved to another table at the back.

When I asked if our drinks would be comp’ed. because of the embarrassment and being told we had to move, the server checked with the manager and said 20% discount was the best she would do.

Situated on the 19th floor of the Andaman Beach Suites, it is like stepping back in time. There are 2 sections, the inside is where live music is played and the night we went they were very good. The outdoor part has the best views over Patong. We ordered one of each of the appetisers with the highlights being the Koong Sarong (prawns) and the shrimp cake. The cocktails were very good, so have some fun and try something different. Prices are mid-high but considering the view it is well worth it. The staff were lovely...

View, service, and food was great at reasonable price. However we ordered onion rings as appetizer, they were barely warm when they arrived at table. The other appetizer we ordered mussels was perfect. The tenderloin was cooked as ordered and sauces were wonderful. I would give 4.5 but not an option.
