Took Took - Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Patong

On our last day (infact last dinner) of Thailand trip, we wanted to explore authentic Thai cuisine (that offered some vegetarian options as well). After digging through a lot of restaurants online, we zeroed in to Took Took. It was not a fine dining place that we had expected, but it had an option to sit outside (as well as inside). Since the weather was nice we decided to sit outside and could get a feel of the hustle and bustle of the street. The service was a bit slow but they greeted us a with a smile and were very cooperative. We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Stir Fried Egg Noodles and Pad Thai with Chicken. Pineapple Fried Rice was served inside a pineapple and its presentation looked awesome (Its pretty similar to Navratan Pulao we have in India) and was the highlight for us. I spent a whole month in Phuket and tried many Thai restaurants — from local street spots to high-end places — but honestly, I never truly enjoyed authentic Thai flavors until I came here. The chef is incredibly talented, and every dish tastes absolutely delicious.

The staff deserve a big thank you — they are extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming. They truly make you feel like family.

I especially love their Pad Krapow (Kapao) and the seafood with rice and egg — both are perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor.

We ate at this little gem several times during our stay at Patong because the food is simply excellent. We tried Most of the curry dishes and Prawn and were very happy with the overall taste and freshness of the dishes. It's away from the hustle of the centre of Patong but close enough to get to on foot. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Try the Green Curry or Panang Curry for the best experience. The Juice smoothies are also brilliant. Only downside is that they insisted on 5% credit card charge initially when the norm is 3% but after discussing with the manager they agreed to the standard 3% charge for credit card payment.
