First seafood 第一海鲜 — Restaurant in Patong

ENGLISH First Sea Food Restaurant Number 5 exists in Phuket for more than 15 years. Although in the meantime twice the location has been changed, but this was only due to the success and the resulting additional space requirements.

At the beginning, the restaurant still had the addition "Family Restaurant", which was a clear indication of the approach of the operators - here, a whole family worked hand in hand to build something up. Of course, with well over 50 employees, this has changed a bit, with the team still acting like a family - and being treated like this by the owners Tong & Nus.

This positive spirit and cohesion can be felt when dining here. The team is consistently friendly, "on attention", you feel well looked after and the staff are not intrusive.

If you're in Number 5 you have to eat fish and crustaceans - all the other foods, whether Thai or European taste excellent – but the seafood menu is simply unbeatable. A huge selection of fresh crabs, fish and lobster in clean and neatly supplied tanks you will find everything the culinary heart desires.

Of course, the restaurant also offers vegetarian dishes and cooks predominantly, and of course on announcement, without glutamate. I recommend everyone here to try a Kuatiu-Nahm (noodle soup), just at this court you quickly realize whether it is a good and authentic Thai cuisine.

My favourites are the big prawns - skewered on wood and grilled over the fire - served with a bowl of seafood sauce and the evening is perfect. The prices here are a bit higher than the average - but what the excellent quality and preparation is to be counted - is paid here in cash.

Apart from the interior of one of the best restaurants in Phuket and therefore a clear recommendation for a visit you should be in the vicinity.

DEUTSCH Das First Sea Food Restaurant Number 5 existiert in Phuket schon mehr als 15 Jahre.

Zwar wurde zwischenzeitlich schon zweimal der Standort gewechselt, aber dies war lediglich dem Erfolg und dem daraus resultierenden zusätzlichen Platzbedarf geschuldet.

Am Anfang trug das Restaurant noch den Zusatz “Family Restaurant“, was ein klarer Hinweis an die Herangehensweise der Betreiber war – hier arbeitete eine ganze Familie Hand in Hand um sich etwas aufzubauen.

Mit nunmehr weit über 50 Mitarbeitern hat sich das natürlich etwas verändert, wobei das Team noch immer wie eine Familie agiert – und von den Besitzern Tong & Nus auch so behandelt wird.

Diesen positiven Spirit & Zusammenhalt spürt man förmlich, wenn man hier speist. Das Team ist durchweg freundlich, “auf Zack“, man fühlt sich bestens versorgt und die Mitarbeiter sind dabei nicht aufdringlich.

Wenn man im Number 5 ist muss man einfach Fisch und Krustentiere essen – nicht das auch alle anderen Speisen, ob Thailändisch oder Europäisch exzellent schmecken würden – das Angebot an Seafood ist einfach unschlagbar. Eine riesige Auswahl an frischen Krebsen, Fisch und Lobstern in sauberen und ordentlich versorgten Tanks findet sich alles was das kulinarische Herz begehrt.

Natürlich bietet das Restaurant auch vegetarische Gerichte an und kocht überwiegend, und natürlich auch auf Ansage hin, ohne Glutamat.

Ich empfehle jedem hier auch eine Kuatiu-Nahm (Nudelsuppe) zu probieren, gerade an diesem Gericht merkt man schnell, ob es sich um eine gute und authentische Thaiküche handelt.

Mein Favorit sind die großen Garnelen – aufgespießt auf Holz und über dem Feuer gegrillt – dazu eine Schale Seafood-Sauce und der Abend ist perfekt.

Die Preis sind hier zwar etwas höher als im Durchschnitt – was aber der hervorragenden Qualität und Zubereitung anzurechnen ist – bezahlt wird hier bar.

Abgesehen vom Interieur eines der besten Restaurants auf Phuket und somit eine klare Empfehlung für einen Besuch solltet Ihr mal in der Nähe sein.

There are 3 of these so we came back for round 2 at the location across the street from where are the other night. So much fun and very interesting to see your future dinner swimming. The portions are more than enough and can be easily split by two hungry people. The set prices are very reasonable and the live seafood is paid for by the kilogram. In both of my selections of crab and tiger prawns the price was around 750 baht. The water is only 20 baht, the cheapest in town and the beer is cold and is the same you will pay anywhere. (Except Hyper C Grocery store). This place is in a great location in a side road off the main drag and away from all the roaming tourists. It is a great place to bring a large group or family. You are outside and the fans make it very comfortable. They do have an inside area with air conditioning but it's nice to hear the sound of the city and people getting loud by eating with friends. A must go if you even remotely...

Delicious food with amazing variety! We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was—so much so that we ended up dining here more than once, even though we originally planned to try a different place every day. The variety on the menu was just too tempting to resist. Everything we tried was full of flavor and fairly priced.

The grilled pork was an absolute highlight—perfectly cooked and packed with taste. In fact, all the grilled dishes we tried were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the place offers the convenience of card payment. Definitely worth a...
