As Phuket Flavours, I’ve eaten my way through some incredible spots on this island, but my recent visit to La Bella Phuket Italian & Cafe Bistro in Patong has easily climbed to the top of my list. Nestled on the bustling main road, directly across from the Zephyr Grand Hotel, this place is hard to miss and even harder to resist once you step inside. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it ideal for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. I decided to go big with my order—Potato Wedges, Classic Bruschetta, Margherita Pizza, Mexican Nachos, and a comforting bowl of Tomato Soup—and let me tell you, every bite was a winner.
The food came out so fast I barely had time to scroll through my phone, and the quality? Top-notch. You can tell they’re using fresh, high-quality ingredients; the flavors were bold yet authentic, especially the Italian dishes that transported me straight to a little trattoria in Italy. The bill came to about 1,000 THB, which, for this level of deliciousness and portion size, felt like an absolute bargain compared to other restaurants around Phuket. The team here is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’m rating La Bella Phuket a solid 5/5. If you’re in Patong and craving a meal that hits all the right spots, this is your place. Keep up the stellar work, crew!
Potato Wedges These weren’t your average wedges. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right with a hint of herbs and salt. They came with a side of tangy dipping sauce—maybe a garlic aioli or ketchup—that made each bite addictive. Perfectly golden and served piping hot, they set the tone for the meal.
Classic Bruschetta This was a little piece of Italy on a plate. Toasted bread, slightly crunchy, topped with a generous heap of fresh diced tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. The flavors were bright and zesty, with that unmistakable freshness you only get from quality ingredients. Simple, classic, and executed flawlessly.
Margherita Pizza Oh, this pizza was a dream! The crust was thin and crisp, with just the right amount of chewiness. The tomato sauce had a rich, slightly sweet flavor that screamed homemade, and the mozzarella melted into gooey perfection. Fresh basil leaves on top added that aromatic kick. It’s the kind of Margherita that reminds you why this classic never goes out of style.
Mexican Nachos A fun twist on the Italian vibe, these nachos were loaded with goodies. Crispy tortilla chips piled high with melted cheese, spicy salsa, jalapeños, and a dollop of sour cream. The flavors were punchy and bold, with a nice balance of heat and creaminess. It’s not traditional Italian, but it showed off the kitchen’s versatility and knack for nailing comfort food.
Tomato Soup This was comfort in a bowl. Silky smooth, with a deep, rich tomato flavor that wasn’t too acidic or overpowering. It had a subtle sweetness and a touch of creaminess, likely from a splash of cream or a clever seasoning trick. Served warm with a side of crusty bread (I’m guessing!), it was the perfect cozy finish...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this place. (Warning, this will be long to read!)
We happened upon it by chance, as it was close to where we were staying. From the first night, both the food and staff were all fantastic. Not once did that change no matter the time of day.
One of the owner's, Deepak (hope that is spelt right), was a wonderful host. Not only did he share his story and experiences of life & in Thailand as a fellow foreigner, but he also offered many suggestions on where to go and what to visit.
Any chance that we would get, we made sure to visit them. No matter the time of day, the staff remembered us, and was not only attentive, but offered great solutions if problems arose. They were very sweet in adapting to Thailand. They even remembered certain mannerisms-one of us having OCD-, and it showed in how we were treated.
If you have anywhere to stop while visiting Phuket, especially with a love for Italian food, we highly recommend this place.
Thank you all for being such gracious hosts, and we cannot wait to come back again!
(BTW, if they are by chance closed as per Google hours, that isn't uncommon & happened often in Thailand. Be sure to check in the early morning or shoot a message just in case.)
Thank you all for being such gracious hosts. We will never forget it, and I will recommend this place as long as you are open! Love from Canada....

This place proves that beauty lies in simplicity, and everything they offer is truly excellent. As soon as you step in, the comfortable seating welcomes you, whether indoors or outdoors, and the friendly atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff works quickly with smiles that never leave their faces, adding a special touch to the experience. The service is fast without feeling rushed, and every order arrives on time. The food? It’s a whole different story! Their “Tom Yum” soup has an authentic taste, bursting with real Thai flavors—sour and spicy in perfect balance. The pizza is amazing too; I’d give it an 8/10 globally, but compared to restaurants in Thailand, it’s definitely a 10/10. The bread is soft, the ingredients are fresh, and that’s what sets it apart. The prices are very reasonable—you pay and feel like you’ve gotten real value for your money. “La Bella” is perfect for anyone looking for a cozy experience and delicious food without breaking the bank.
