Fantastic Japanese restaurant. Tucked down the back of a row of Korean places, this place is worth a visit for a taste of Japan.
Not busy when I visited later in the evening, I sat at the bar with a Japanese gentleman and could almost imagine I was there :)
Great menu selection although they had run out of Asahi on tap, only 1l bottles available, too much for me that late.
Perusing the extensive menu selection I had the following
Sashimi Maguro (Tuna) , nice thick slices and beautifully fresh.
Agadashi dofu (tofu), perfectly crisp with silky insides, elegant broth.
Apple, cucumber and fish roe salad. I did not order this, the sushi chef made both myself and the Japanese gentleman a dish each, he may have been bored as it was quiet. Was delicious.
Mixed tempura, I probably didn’t need this but I have a weakness for tempura, was nice, but I should have probably gotten the broccoli version, would have been lighter, this had primary root veggies (taro squash. As well as octopus and prawn, could not finish.
Katsu Don, succulent crumbed pork over rice with katsu sauce and and egg cracked on top. It also comes with miso soup.

Read moreExcellent place if you are looking for Japanese food! The quality of the food is excellent all dishes are very fresh and prepared right away when you order. They have most of the topical Japanese dishes. The staff is very friendly and most of the time the owner is there taking care of the guests, making sure that you don’t miss anything. The are where is located is realtively new, clean and a little bit away from the party area, inside you can choose to sit at the area with western table and chairs or you could go to the Japanese style where you take off the shoes and sit a ground level. Normally you will find always place don’t need to reserve in advance, no need of special dress code. You have smooth Japanese music which makes you feel I’m a good mood. One interesting thing is that you can find apart of Japanese drink German beer which taste good as well it matches the Japanese food, of course if you want to stay with japanase beer you will find it for sure. When you wonder about the price I find the price level good for what you get is not so expensive. If you try the place I’m sure you will not get disappointed, give a try I already had dinner with Japanese guys and they liked as too, I got good feedback...

Pre cooked earlier and served cool and stale. The curry was not smooth.....had that look when you microwave it the next day. And not sure how this happens, but the rice was not fresh tasting.....it was way too dry. I think it was cooked a while ago and just re heated. If your restaurant is too busy or lazy to serve freshly prepared food..., why even...
