Very bad experience today at Toby’s. We (me and one other friend) waited 20 minutes for a table, only to witness the server offer our queue to a group of 3 foreigners who only just arrived. We asked for the reason why this has happened, only to be given the answer: “this is the way our queueing system works...we offer tables to parties according to the # of seats a table can serve.” This obviously made no sense to us because we were a party of 2 so how come a party of 3 got a table before us - if a table can fit 3 it sure can fit 2 people that came before. After we finished our meal, the server came to our table with the check even before we asked for it, and stood over our heads to pressure us to pay and leave because the queue outside was piling up. We didn’t pay yet because we were looking at what dessert to order home on the menu. The server came to clear everything, plates and cups, off our table. Then asked us if there is a problem with the menu or the bill. It was such a terrible experience, felt like the cafe favors foreigners over Thais. We couldn’t even sit to enjoy the vibe, meanwhile there’s multiple foreigners sitting around with a laptop, or chatting and chilling with each other. What a shame I must say. Very very...

บรรยากาศร้านดีมากๆ มีทั้งที่นั่งด้านใน (ห้องแอร์) และด้านนอก แนะนำว่าควรโทรมาจอง เพราะจำนวนโต๊ะไม่ได้มีมาก ที่จอดรถสามารถจอดได้บริเวณรอบๆ ร้าน แต่เนื่องจากเป็นบ้านที่อยู่อาศัย อาจต้องให้ร้านมาช่วยดูว่าจอดได้หรือไม่ แต่ที่สำคัญที่สุด อาหารอร่อยมากๆ ทุกจาน!!!

🍅Tomato-Herbs-Cheese🍅วัตถุดิบสดทุกอย่าง มะเขือเทศหวานเจี๊ยบ Fig คือคุณภาพดีมากๆ น้ำสลัดเป็น balsemic ทุกอย่างเข้ากันลงตัว อร่อยจนอยากชิมสลัดจานอื่นๆ ของที่นี่ไปด้วยเลย

🍊🐟Salmon Ponzu🐟🍊 เมนูทานเล่นที่ให้แซลมอนที่อาจจะไม่ได้เน้นหลายชิ้น แต่ชิ้นใหญ่และหนามาก หนาจริงๆ เต็มปากเต็มคำ น้ำราดเป็นพอนสึผสมทรัฟเฟิล รสเค็มนำ เปรี้ยวตาม เป็นเมนูฟิวชั่นที่ลงตัวสุดๆ (ก่อนทานควรชิมน้ำดำก่อน เพราะรสชาติค่อนข้างสตรอง จะได้กะปริมาณทานกับซอสถูก)

🐟🍳Egg Mikado🍳🐟 จานนี้ยังคงให้แซลมอนมาจุกๆ อีกเช่นเคย น้องปลานอนกอดกันล้อมไข่ egg poached 2 ฟอง มาบนขนมปัง Sourdough เลยมีความเบาๆ ำม่หนักจนแน่นเกินไป แต่ตัวซอส Hollandaise ยังไม่เด็ดเท่าไหร่

🥓🍅🥑Breakfast Board จานนี้เป็นอาหารเช้าที่ครบ 5 หมู่มากๆ โปรตีน คาร์บ แร่ธาตุ วิตามิน ไขมัน ทานคนเดียวคืออิ่มท้องไปถึงบ่ายแน่นอน ความอร่อยอาจไม่ได้มาจากการปรุง แต่คือการใช้วัตถุดิบดี สด และสนุกที่ได้เลือกจิ้มทานและจับคู่ของที่ชอบ

🍝🦐Linguine White Wine and Bay Lobster🦐🍝 ผิดหวังเล็กๆ กับจานพาสต้า รู้สึกธรรมดาไปหน่อย ซอสไม่เคลือบเส้น เนื้อกั้งธรรมดา ไม่ได้หวานเด้ง ไม่ค่อยแนะนำจานนี้เท่าไหร่ แต่ยังมีพาสต้าอีกหลายจานให้เลือกอยู่

ใดๆ คือ ใครตื่นเช้า และไม่ไกลจากสุขุมวิท 38 (ตรงข้ามทองหล่อ) หรือไกลแต่อยากมาลอง อยากหาที่นั่งทานมื้อเช้าอร่อยๆ บรรยากาศดีๆ มีมุมถ่ายรูปกับแสงสวยๆ แอบดูไลฟ์สไตล์ชาวสุขุมวิเชี่ยน แนะนำร้านนี้ ถือว่าดี!

อย่าลืมว่า ⚠️ ควรโทรจอง วันที่ไปทานไปตั้งแต่ร้านเปิด ลูกค้าคนแรก แต่โต๊ะด้านในโดนจองไปเกือบเต็มแล้ว ดังนั้นถ้าไม่อยากเสียเที่ยว โทรจองหรือโทรเช็คร้านสักหน่อย

The atmosphere is very good. They providing seats for both indoor (air-conditioned room) and outdoor. The number of tables is not many. Parking can be parked around the shop, but since it is a residential area. You may need to check if it can be parked or not.

Most importantly.. Every dish is very delicious!!!

🍅Tomato-Herbs-Cheese🍅 Served with all fresh ingredients. Fig and sweet tomatoes are very fresh in good quality. The salad dressing is balsemic mix with something (but im unsure on this) but all goes together perfectly.

🍊🐟Salmon Ponzu🐟🍊 An appetizer menu came along with big and super thick slices of salmon. Supet filling in your mouth. The dressing is ponzu mixed with truffles. The taste is salty and sour. One of my fav perfect fusion menu. (Tips : taste the sauce first. Flavour is quite strong then you will be able to estimate the amount to eat with the fish correctly)

🐟🍳Egg Mikado🍳🐟 This dish still had a lot of salmon as usual. Serves with two poached eggs on sourdough bread. Unfortunately the hollandaise sauce isn't that great.

🥓🍅🥑Breakfast Board🥓🍅🥑 This dish is complete with all 5 main food groups that we need. Deliciousness may not come from cooking. But it's about using fresh ingredients and having fun choosing and pairing things you like.

🦐Linguine White Wine and Bay Lobster🦐 A little disappointed with the pasta dish, it felt a bit ordinary. The sauce is not coated with noodles. Bay lobster meat not sweet and bouncy. I don't recommend this dish much. But there are still more pasta dishes to try.

Highly recommended to anyone who wakes up early and is not far from Sukhumvit 38 (opposite Thonglor) or even far but wants to try it, you also should come. But don't forget to call for...
