My wonderment of this place began with the first bite of my local friend's recommendation, the Dry Aged, Grilled Pork Chop. What?....... Ok, sure, I'll bite........ Then, as Lagasse says, "BAM!" Great flavors, tender, good fat. Oh, and the strip of roasted, head rattling crunchy, crackling, skin that accompanies the chop? DUDE!
Look, I'm not gonna spin fancy food writing words at you. If you really follow food, the words dry aged pork chops should be enough to make you curious. And the prices? You'd better hurry before the chef (and don't call him chef) becomes popular.
We also had the great pizza with its super crust (I actually told the chef not to change the crust, ever...) salad, rich lasagna, another cut of pork that was also out of this world, and a few other things. All I could say about the rest was that it all tasted right and clean flavored, as in really high end restaurants.
I chatted with chef Tan in what my wife called a food geekout session. He is passionate about his creations, local, quality ingredients, and local sustainability. Well, enough said by me. My whole group loved this place and we can't wait to return. I wish to try the pasta next time.
Swing by and tell me if I'm wrong.
Notes: My understanding is that the pork chops are not a daily item, for now, at least. If you want to try the chops, I recommend making reservations as soon as you arrive in Phuket. And tell them the reservation is for the chops or other pork plates. Otherwise make reservations meeting your schedule. It's worth it for any dish. Call the chef "Khun Tan", (Mr. Tan). The rest I leave for your own conversational...
Read moreWas enticed by the great reviews and this place did not disappoint! Great and attentive service, quick to help ua with anything we needed.
We were given complimentary garlic bread to start as well as ordering a bruschetta. The garlic bread was delicious and came with finely chopped garlic on top of thin crusty bread. The bruschetta was to be assembled yourself which was different and it was very good as well. I felt it lacked basil, but that is a personal preference of mine!
The crab pasta was lovely and well seasoned, i’ve never seen so much crab in a dish, was very pleased it wasn’t lacking as some places can be a bit stingy with crab.
The carbonara was good, the bacon was delicious and well seasoned, i found the sauce a little thin and would’ve been better if it was a little less runny but delicious nonetheless!
The Phuketian pizza was great, they were out of ham so we substituted with bacon and pepperoni and it was great! The pineapple was super fresh and juicy.
Definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in Phuket and want authentic...
Read moreI'm from california and we have plenty of awesome pizza joints. Got a little tired of Thai food and wanted to change things up and ended up here and man I'm glad I did. Super affordable as a westerner and the pizzas were baked perfectly. Thin crunchy crust with a generous amount of toppings. This was Seriously a gem and was thinking about eating here again but time did not allow for it.
In addition, they have like a secret menu. You have to call way in advance, forgot how long in advance, but they also do a dry aged rib eye if I'm correct. This person near us had it and I salivated INSTANTLY. Low key want to asked, yo let me nibble on that a little haha. Appetizers are also recommended and is super affordable.
If you're reading this. Don't hesitate. Walk a mile, break a leg, And get that booty moving haha.
Solid food and I enjoyed every moment of it. Will be back in the future and will reserve for that dry...
