Very comfortable SHA+ hotel for budget Sandboxer like me||- Ms. Fay the Manager is very responsive, perfect English (of course), making sure you get all your documents well. I directly booked with her without external site||- This branch is in a little alley BUT it’s a smack-downtown Phuket Town!||- Phuket Walking Street Night Market 2 mins walk. Long streets of Instagramable Sino Portuguese shophouses in Thanon Thalang & Thanon Phang Nga: 2-3 mins walk (literally next junction). Cafes, restaurants, daily shops, all super convenient!||- Everything else in Phuket Town is within walking distance. From Michellin Roti Taew Nam, regular local food court (the uncle knew my usual custom fried rice order), to upper end Japanese restaurants for example.||- Bed: clean. If you were like me, the bed was the perfect softness/hardness. Something about a renovated historic building too that makes you sleep till noon.||- Overall room: clean. Perfectly functioning room. The decorations and classic Sino-Portuguese architecture were just icing on the cake for me :)||- With the declining tourism, I was the only guest after my 3rd day there. Enjoyed the quieteness of the town because of this.||- Good price for airport...
Read moreHighly recommend this cosy, clean and friendly place! The lady who checked us in and greeted us everyday was by far the sweetest person we’ve met in our month of travels in Thailand. The rooms are spacious and very clean. My only negative was the hard bed. This is bearable for one or two nights which is enough time to spend in the Old Town. I would definitely stay here again. It is well worth accepting the bed is a bit uncomfortable, as everything else about the place and location makes up for it! The location really does not get better! Directly next door is a fantastic, modern food hall which offered delicious and a cheap variety of food stalls. At the end of the street is a Michelin star street vendor serving pancakes. You are tucked away in the peace and quiet, but still only a few minutes walk from the most popular, bustling street and colourful architecture. As an Aussie who struggles to find good coffee anywhere else, I was overjoyed to find ‘Mondo Espresso bar’ a few minutes walk away which served a delicious latte and the best coffee I’ve ever had in Asia! This hotel and the Old Town should...
Read moreThe room was pretty nice, and the size was decent - not huge, but not tiny either. There was a little table and two chairs in the room, and they give you two good size bottles of filtered water each day which was great. The location is also pretty good.
It wasn't a very lively hostel though, and I don't know that there's really a lounge area, so it was kind of dead. I didn't run in to any other guests while I was there, so if you are looking for a lively hostel, this might not be the spot for you. There also wasn't any wardrobe in the room, which is something I've experienced in a lot of hostels unfortunately, but I still wish more places would have them as it makes unpacking impossible.
The staff were very friendly though, and the main host was very helpful with guiding me to places I needed to get to during my stay.
All in all I'd say this is a nice hostel, and great if you like a quiet...
