My friends and I just arrived in Bangkok at night, was super hungry and stumbled into this gem in Chinatown. We did not realise they were already closing but they accommodated us without any complaints, and kindly reminded us about last order even though this was almost their closing time.
The food was absolutely amazing. Most of my friends got the set meal (you choose 1 dish of each group, 3 groups in total).
I had the Braised Pork Belly with Rice.... and that thing was absolutely perfect. The pork belly was so smooth and oozes out the delicious sauces, super tasty and matches rice so well.
The red sauce? chicken wings was superb. It was nice and crispy on the outside. Amazing.
The pork ribs were cooked very well, the meat was peeling right off the bone. Quite tasty
Mapo tofu was very nice, had just enough spice and taste. Nicely balanced tastes, not too overwhelming.
All the other dimsims like the Hagow and shrimp rice noodles were also quite nice. Don't think we had any complaints about the other foods.
Thanks for accommodating us when you...
Read moreRead a good amount of recommendations for this restaurant before I head over to Chinatown. However the excitement quickly died down. The food was mediocre.
The siew mai and scrimp dumplings taste like it was instant food being reheated and served to the table. Definitely not a way to serve dim sum.
Ordered a dish of garlic chili tofu, gotta say that was the only dish that deserves at least a 4 star.
There are 2 levels to the shop, the seating area on the top floor is air conditioned. There’s a good mixture of sitting on the rattan mat and on the chair. I think this is a simulation of how people in the ancient time used to sit and have their meals.
The mat is not routinely clean. There’s cockroach wastes sticking to the corners of the mat.
The top floor also looks like an old opium den repurpose for dining. Nice concept but I wish they could take care of the hygiene of the place for...

This place had the best rating but...it's not what we are used to unfortunately. It was a bit disappointing.
Chicken feet wasn't juicy, spareribs were mushy, hargow flavor was decent but the wrapper was a bit chewy.
The name of the restaurant is Hagow so you think they would knock the Hagow (Shrimp dumpling) out of the ballpark given their name.
The Gailan was over cooked and not much flavor.
The dried noodles with roast duck and roast pork however was the best tasting. Had I known, I would have just ordered that instead.
Basically, when in Thailand, don't expect too much goodness from dim sum...
Staff was friendly and nice, service was good, just the food wasn't all that great. I'd give it 2.5 but since staff was good, I upped...
