A Chinatown GEM! Michelin guide-worthy for all the right reasons.
As someone who’s lived in both Thailand and China, I’ve tasted a lot — but this place? Krua Phon Lamai blew me away.
Out of everything I tried in Bangkok’s Chinatown (and I tried a lot 😋), this was hands-down the most unique, satisfying, and flavor-packed spot.
🥇 Their Fried Noodles with Seafood? Honestly, GOAT. Smoky, savory, perfectly chewy — absolute perfection in every bite. I also had these in Chinatown: 🥚 Crab Omelet (delicate & rich) 🥥 Coconut bread from Tumlum Thai Khanom Krok 🍩 Donuts at Pa Tong Go Savoey 🍞 That famous milky toast…
BUT if I had to go back to just one place? Krua Phon Lamai. Every. Time.

Have provided photos to show u all how not to waste time looking around for someone who could speak English to you.1st pic is the address of shop n kitchen. 2nd pic shows a waiting area about 30m away from shop where there is a guy holding onto menus n writing Ur orders after I have chosen from the menu. Said guy will direct red uniform staff to guide you to your tables which are scattered on both sides of the street. 3rd pic shows the lady cashier in between waiting area n kitchen. You can also opt to get red uniform staff to tabulate Ur bill n make cash payment. Food was decent. We had Rad Na n Tom Yum Instant Noodle soup. Service was quite fast as we were early (5.25pm). Realised most patrons were local at...

Order with the staff while waiting, and once it gets to your table number, they take you to your table. Food is typically served fairly quickly and...
