Ordered 3 items in total, waited 20 minutes to almost half an hour for the steamed shrimp dumplings, which was only 3 pieces and we were a table of 3 so that was finished within minutes. Then just more waiting, tables that came after us were getting food left and right, so we asked about our order which we were told ''Yes, it's coming.'' Asked a different waiter after and just the same answer. Another 10 or 15 minutes the second dish finally came, the deep dried sea bass. That wasn't much and it didn't take too long for us to finish either since we were sharing. At this point we have literally been seated for an full hour, yet the third dish is still not here yet. It's a simple dish, fried shrimp and fresh fruit with mayo sauce. I finally lost my patience and used Google translate to tell the restaurant that we have been waiting for an hour because they don't seem to understand English, otherwise we wouldn't have to wait for so long even after asking them twice to check on our order right? A guy who seemed like the manager had to ask us what we are waiting on... after this entire time and being told twice that our order is coming? Finally, the third dish came after an full hour had passed! Which was really just mediocre, especially after waiting for so long. Atmosphere is noisy as their tables were almost all filled and people constantly coming in. We were unfortunate to have a family of 4 seated next table, 2 baby so lot of screaming! I would normally understand and be able to tolerate that but today when we had to wait forever that just made me more annoyed. Don't normally write reviews either but the whole experience was so bad that I just needed to write this while waiting for the last dish :) Really don't recommend coming here and it was absolutely not worth it having to pay...

The Bangkok Heritage is your run of the mill restaurant that’s catered towards tourists who don’t know where to go. I ended up here as a friend chose it so it wasn’t by choice and it was New Year’s Day so none of us wanted to make any real decisions.

We ordered our food which was just Chinese kale with scrambled eggs, a side of rice, a rice noodle dish, and tea and a cola.

What they brought us first was just a bowl of steamed rice and after asking the servers multiple times for our drinks, we got the tea and 15 minutes later the cola. So now we have our drinks and a bowl of rice.

30 minutes pass and the servers, who seemed visibly stressed as it was quite busy, ignored us for the most part. The manager also didn’t seem to care and mind you, we were being civil and patiently just waiting.

Enough was enough after almost an hour and we decided to go. The rice was now piping cold with no partner to dance with. We got our bill and gave our thoughts to the manager who just chuckled. It was a complete disgrace and we were charged a service fee for really, no service at all. Overpriced Thai food for foreigners.

Maybe they had an off day but by reading other reviews, this should just be canceled from your lists as it’s visually food poisoning...

Was there two days ago. Considering the restaurant was absolutely packed full of people at 2 p.m. and there was a short wait list.. we got seated within only 6 minutes. We ordered five entrees. They came out one at a time all within approximately 12 minutes, again this is with the place being packed of about almost 80 seats. Had a pretty good variety of foods including vegetarian to choose from on their menu along/w photos. Prices were average to upper range expensive. A few large dishes were a little more than 600 baht. Most of them around 100. Our favorite was deep fried whole grouper fish with sweet chilli sauce laddled over it.. barely spicy, no small bones to fuss over and it was light and fluffy. Wouldn't recommend though the grilled pork dish. It had mostly dense tough to chew parts as it was baked (solid color/no sear marks) rather than grilled. This is understandable because of the time constraints as they are having to put out SO much food in a short amount of time :-)

Overall, we had a nice experience in the old historical China town of the Yawwarat district of Bangkok. Bon...

Told NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED: This place has gone downhill. My wife and I have visited this restaurant on 3 previous occasions. This was pre-COVID. Had great experiences every time. Something has changed. Tonight we had really a pretty average meal. It started with Pork buns that we sent back as they were still cold. What good restaurant serves cold pork buns in Bangkok? I tried to order salted pork but as that was unavailable they suggested they could do it in chicken. Dish was a fail. Rubbery & overcooked. The Green curry was good. The rest of the dishes were as to be expected. Then told us that they did not accept credit cards. My wife requested they remove the service charge from the bill. They did and we found the cash. We left bill and cash on table. They rushed up in a panic to make sure we had paid. Sadly this Resturant is not what it was 3 years ago. A shadow of its former self. We went at night and it was 95% tourists. Sad as it used to be frequented by locals too. No longer.

This restaurant was recommend to us by a lady running a nearby hostel. It’s air-conditioned, which was a lovely relief from the horrendous heat in Bangkok at this time of year. The menu is extensive and it covers a wide range of cuisine, which is normally a red flag. However, they seem at least the Thai and Chinese dishes quite well. The food was tasty, well portioned and good value. The decor is interesting- more in keeping with London rather than the middle of Chinatown in Bangkok. The service was good too. I wouldn’t go out of the way to eat here, but I recommend it if you’re in the area and want to escape the heat and not risk the market food.

This place was one of my least enjoyed experiences that I had in Bangkok. Starting with the sad looking water melon dish compared to what’s on the menu. The combination of watermelon and the condiments just did not work and taste absolutely terrible. Minced pork salad tasted really old and not fresh. Papaya salad had no spice and over sweet. Padthai was also sickly sweet served with a piece of what looks like a rotten bamboo piece seen in the picture. I would not recommend the food but sure it’s in the tourist area and the food is very much geared to European pallet so if that’s what you like then this may be the place for you.
