We arrived before their opening time, like 15minutes too early but the shop Madam make sure we don't miss out our food. So she told us, she can make.it early for us. Talk about top service, even beat the hell out those 5 star ⭐ hotel 😊😊😊. Madam is Teochew, therefore me as the Hokkien fella from Malaysia got advantage of communication 😊. Actually this is a second breakfast or more like try the taste,.so the portion we order is small than usual and not because is not good. Again, we are not that expert in goose and duck meat, but from taste of it, we can also say it is worth to come here. Shop entrance is small, but their sitting is way inside the shop and have air conditioned. So no worry about hot. Delicious braised goose! I particularly like the braised feet and wings. They are open from 9.00 am daily and close when the last braised goose is sold. For the numerous times that we were here, it closed before 2.00 pm! Compared to a Chinese restaurant in Yaowarat, the spiced braised goose is half the cost. A small bow of white rice is 10 baht with free flowing Chinese tea. We usually spent about 2 hours enjoying the meal and taking a much needed break from the heat. Lao Tang has been in business since 1942 according to the lady owner who started work when she was in her twenties! She is now in her seventies. Her grandfather came over from China when he was 19 years old. With such as long history, it is no wonder that the braised goose is so-so popular. Go early to savour their offerings. Yummy !

Ordered one plate of goose meat for 1 pax, 2 steamed rice, one plate of goose head, neck and gizzard and 1 bowl of bitter gourd pork rib soup. Goose meat tasted like its braised in some Chinese herbs (think it's 十全 but not sure. Doesnt matter because i like the chinese herbal soup taste) Meat was quite tender and not gamey. The side dish was also very tasty. Soup was clear soup and refreshing. Not many tables for seating and lucky there wasn't a long queue. No air conditioning as it indicates outside the shop and not really a super clean kind of eatery so not for the fussy. Overall, food is nice but wouldn't say its super fantastic.
