Visited a couple of times in July 2024.
Got to visit Mahaniyom during my recent trip to BKK. Mahaniyom was ranked as the #23 bar in Asia in 2023 and hence a visit to this cocktail bar was due.
From what I learned, the drinks menu seems to change every few months with a few signature drinks staying on. Ended up trying quite a few drinks during my visits to the bar. Among my favourite drinks were the “Cow” (probably their best drink), the “Banana” (a Negroni variant), and the “Kaffir Lime” (a refreshing drink). Another interesting drink was the “Squid” which has squid ink as an ingredient.
Service is really good here and I was very happy with the fact that all throughout my drinks, there were some complementary munchies. You are also greeted with a complementary drink at the start - for my visits it was a sake and tonic shot.
There is also a small food menu where can order some bites which comes from the restaurant below.

Read moreIt’s a very nice cocktail bar - very well decorated, has good alcohol selection and very good glassware, as well as some nice cocktail options. Their idea is concentrating cocktails around a single flavour although it’s not as plain or bombarding in terms of the taste as it may sound. At the beginning they gave us a small drink to clean the palates which was a superb idea. The mango cocktail did not match my taste as much even though I am a mango lover. Their seasonal Monsoon Season cocktail was great though and I would easily love to have it again. The only unpleasant thing was crushed ice interfering with the experience since you are supposed to sip the cocktail without a straw. The staff were welcoming but some things felt a bit awkward - some members could not always do what was asked and they were looking with a lot of confusion to other staff members and so on. This cocktail bar took our tastebuds away by their concept of 0 food wastage by utilising almost every part of an ingredient (say a watermelon, squid an etc…) into their cocktails. My girls and I came here at about 11:30pm+ and we didn’t realize there was a restaurant below. If you are there just for the drinks alone, the entrance to the bar is from someone’s garage space and through the stairs and pass a door that we thought was to someone’s room. But the moment we stepped in, you can most definitely tell it’s a cocktail bar that was creatively transformed and designed so well.
The bartenders and waitstaff were so friendly and nice. They explained each cocktail with such enthusiasm and eagerness.
