I'm rather upset about this place for two things:
they overcharged me - basically they charged dishes not according to the menu with resulted a dish costing 450THB instead of 350THB for instance. Normally I don't even check the bill, it it was striking for me how one dish and one cocktail can cost almost 1000THB!?!? They add 7% VAT plus 10% service charge to the bill anyway (plus in my case they overcharged me with 25% extra per item)
they reviewed the bill but before I could see the revised bill they had already charged my card. I don't even know by how much as they simply chose to make me pay in GBP. I don't even understand how the payment went through without my pin code. My card is connected to my phone hence I noticed that the payment went through.
When I raised the issue they didn't rectify it and they didn't apologize.
In summary, from a place like this you would expect more professionalism; you'd expect them not to rip you off, not to overcharge you and you are supposed to be in the known if your card is charged and by how much. Disgusting service. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but in this case this wasn't an...

The Page is located by the beach and it's a great place to slowly get the day going as the run rises over Chaweng. The other highlight was the fantastic service from the staff. They made you feel welcome, were attentive but never...
Read moreWe were tipped about The Drawing Room by a gentleman working in the hotel (his name is Francis - thank you for taking the time to talk to us, Francis!). It is a special experience somewhat similar to Japanese kaiseki, but with traditional Samui cuisine which I don't think is available elsewhere in Koh Samui.
The dishes are incredibly creative, the ingredients are top quality, and the ambiance is a treat for the fans of The Shining and Twin Peaks (it's a room draped with huge red curtains).
It was absolutely a highlight of our visit to Koh Samui.
I hope The Drawing Room and The Page in general will get the recognition...
