Aoi Silom is one of the first few Japanese restaurants in Thailand. Aoi is the quality one and it has survived years and even expanded branches in a few malls. This original branch at Silom 6 is still the best. I came here when my chirashi “aoi” cost 500++ but it now cost 1000+++ (lunch menu). Dinner price can be doubled. My favorites are Chirashi Aoi, Tendon, and box bento Sandanju (any bento is great value and quality). Its dishes are delicate and crafted like a good hi-end Japanese place should be (imho judging from my limited Japanese food experience). Aoi is always number one choice for Japanese food, much better than cheap chains and those over priced Omakase places popping...

AOI Silom has been a good place to enjoy original taste of Japanese foods for more than 30 years. They serve only the foods cooked from fresh raw materials which mostly imported from Japan. The famous menu includes various kinds of grilled fish and steamed fish in soy sauce. Their sashimi (raw fish) is excellent and second to none in town. Grilled beef is also fantastic, very tender and juicy. Another famous menu is Udon-Suki (Udon noodle in hot pot soup) however we didn't order this dish this time. Service is nice but price is higher than average and parking in the small street where AOI is located is not always available especially at...

Haven't been since the covid pandemic started. The food is above average but I feel it's overpriced when compared to other Japanese restaurants of the same caliber that offer better value. After finishing dinner i felt like i should have gone to a different Japanese restaurant instead and regretted spending my money here. Also service could use some improvements. In short, not as good as i recalled before the pandemic and you would be better to spend your...

Bangkok has dozens of amazing sushi restaurants and this is one of them! I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area. This is a very expensive restaurant but you get what you pay for. 5 star quality fresh fish. Dinner sets come with egg and soup. Definitely get the kaki fry for appetizer because it's hands down spectacular! I ordered spicy tuna don and nigiri set. The don was so fresh and melted in the mouth. This food is worth every penny.
