I ate a fantastic burger here. I think it was probably the best burger I have had since leaving for travel nine months ago. The patty is juicy af, and is neither falling apart, nor tough or chewy. It had the exactly right level of cohesion to stay together while eating, but not a bit more. Flavours matter, buns matter, condiments matter. But I think it is an easy shorthand to judge a burger joint by patty cohesion. That they nailed this critical aspect tells me that they fluently speak 'burger.' I also had some fries along with my Mad Cow (the burger). They were crinkle cut, which is not as common as it once was. Does that elevate them? Of course not. But they were fun to eat, and more importantly, crispy outside and tender inside and nicely seasoned and very well salted. A lot of salt is needed for a great fry, in my opinion. YMMV. I try to eat local cuisine as I travel. But every now and then, all I want is a great burger. These cats gave me exactly what I came here for. Finally, the price. It's pricy as compared to local cuisine. But still well less than NA prices for a product of this quality. If you fancy a cheap meal, go elsewhere. If you want a treat like I did (it's NYE, after all), you'll make a great choice by coming to meet these...
Read moreWe were on a mission to find real, juicy, proper burgers — and Madcow absolutely delivered. I went there with a friend, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The photos don’t do the place justice: in real life, it’s way more atmospheric, with a great vibe and seriously cool staff who clearly know their craft — especially when it comes to meat.
We both ordered the signature Madcow burger: my friend had hers with a black bun, I went for the classic. The patty was slightly smaller than the bun, but honestly — it didn’t spoil the experience at all. It was juicy, full of flavor, and the burger was beautifully put together and easy to eat.
And the onion rings? Absolute delight. Crispy, flavorful, and just perfect.
If you’re into proper burgers made with quality meat, this place is a must. Highly...
Read moreWe asked for a glass of ice for our soft drinks, but the staff told us they didn’t have any. My friend then asked for a refund on her unopened soft drink, and suddenly they said, “Okay, we will bring ice for you.” We were confused, but decided to let it go and continued our meal. Since you pay at the beginning, we had already settled the bill.
When we finished eating and got up to leave, the waitress told us we had to pay an extra 10 baht for the ice. Of course, 10 baht isn’t the issue. The problem is that this charge wasn’t mentioned at the start ! it should have been clear before serving.
And honestly, why on earth does a restaurant in Phuket not have ice in the...
