We went to ask the waiter to check with the chef and she came back and told us it is bcuz they usually use frozen spinach instead of the fresh one. She explained to me saying maybe i dont like the taste of frozen spinach. I told her back that i am okay with the taste frozen spinach normally as i even buy it to cook at home and eat it. As a very non picky person who eats everything, I rlly dont mind eating the spinach except this time there was a pungent taste that i couldn’t even swallow it down. I would describe the taste as a table cloth that has not been dried properly and has that fungal smell. The waiter even asked me back “then what can i do for you?”. I personally think that a good restaurant with good service would offer to change the dish or not charge it rather than just returning the dish and not doing anything. But at least they gave us free orange juice to make it up for the dish.
