We were craving for some cold drinks while shopping at pratunam, found this dessert shop and we are very happy. Without any research, we just hop in.
Environment 5/5 Very nice and comfortable small dessert cafe, not too many tables inside and have some good view seeing people walking around outside. We stayed here for quite a while after long walk to rest and recharge.
Strawberry bun 2/5 Asked the staff what’s that over the counter and she said is bun, we couldn’t really understand until we had it. We gave it a try because it does look nice and interesting. However, what she meant by bun, is really a bun under the strawberry powder coating. We are not used to the taste on a bun. Maybe chocolate will be better. They do offer chocolate and mango as well.
Thai ice milk tea shaved ice 4/5 Quite nicely shaved ice, full of Thai ice milk tea flavour and there’s a soft touch of cream topping, which is ok not too sweet. There’s surprise inside with grass jelly which goes well, but there’s bread inside as well which we are not used to. In overall is still quite nice.
Ice americano 5/5 I actually feel that the coffee is quite well prepared. Not too sour nor bitter, just right for me.
Will I come back again 2.5/5 Given a 50-50 because I’m not really sure as a tourist, will I come back again next time when I visit Thailand as I feel that there’s a lot more for me try out there, but I’m not saying no also.
Recommended dish thai milk...
Read moreThere are just too many outlets. On the most recent trip we visit the outlet at Platinum Fashion Mall and at MBK. At the formal we missed the entrance to the cafe twice and we went around trying to locate it. So silly.. I suppose we were distracted by the stalls setup just outside the cafe.
At Platinum we seek recommendation from the cashier and he recommended the Cheese Toast. Proves to be a gem.. the sweetness of the ice cream with a touch of saltiness from the cheese makes it a delighted treat. As usual I have a cup of Americano to balance the sweetness. Staff there are polite and you approach the person at the door for a queue number. There's a small bench to seat while you wait your turn.
At MBK, I was confused. I saw a line at the order station and the cafe is rather empty so I proceeded to put down our bags before ordering. We were quickly spotted and asked to place our order before sitting. I promptly did so. Here we went for the Thai Tea Kakigōri and yes.. a cup of Americano. It was a pleasant surprise.. the shaved ice tasted really good. Not too sweet and at the bottom of the bowl are treats that I do not know what they are but it's a better choice than the toast. They provided a small cup of Thai tea to add-on if you want more flavor.
We walked passed several other After You outlets and there's usually a line. It's indeed a nice dessert place if you wish to rest your tiring legs and/or arms from all the...
Read moreA very great dessert place. A must visit when you go to Bangkok. Several outlets located around the city centre area. Visited the outlet at Platinum Fashion Mall, the outlet was quite small and could only sit about 7 groups of 4 pax. The waiting time was fair, around 15 minutes to 20 minutes.
Quite a wide selection of desserts including Thick Toast and Lava Cakes.
Ordered 4 different desserts, Japanese Style Souffle Cake, Chocolate Fudge Cake with Ice-Cream, Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice-Cream and Chocolate Brownie with Ice-Cream.
The Japanese Style Souffle Cake is very soft and fluffy. The taste is very balance when eaten with the whipped cream.
Chocolate Fudge Cake is a bit on the sweeter side even though eaten with the Ice-Cream, but you can taste that they don't cut on the ingredients.
The Chocolate Lava cake is to die for and for it's price point, it is very worth it. The sweetness of the Lava Cake is balanced by the Ice-Cream.
The Brownie is also very delicious as well. It is very firm and you can really taste the fragrance of the cocoa used for the Brownie cake.
Overall very good experience and the cafe itself has...
