2nd Visit - Sep 2023 {2/5} 🍚 Food [2/5] During my recent visit, which took place five years after my last one (which was excellent), I was rather disappointed with the food. The oily rice lacked texture, moisture and fragrance, the chicken was tough and lacked flavor, the provided sauce lacked fragrance and only taste salty and spicy, and the soup resembled nothing more than a peppery concoction. Overall, there was a lack of synergy or complementary elements in the dish.
🤝 Service [2/5] The waitstaff were not particularly friendly or accommodating.
🏞️ Ambience [2/5] Despite our visit taking place in the late evening (6:30 pm), the shop felt uncomfortably warm, contributing to an unpleasant dining experience.
💲 Value [2/5] Priced at 50 baht, the dish falls within the market price range. However, given the quality of the meal served, I found it unsatisfactory and not a good value for the money.
1st Visit - Dec 2018 {4.5/5} Nice Chicken Rice, Rice is prepared with a just-right proportion of sticky rice and Thai fragrance rice which make the rice has a strong aroma. But sadly the chicken is a little bit dry but is still acceptable. The chili is the main point of the whole chicken rice, the chili serves with the chicken rice can bring to the whole dish to another level. Recommend to pay a visit! Food 5/5 Ambience 4/5 Service...
Read moreMy opinions are based on the food I had ordered and the time of my visit. Late dinner at around 730pm. Queue was ok manage to get a seat in 15 mins.
My order was the mix chicken rice. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The white chicken meat was firm but not too hard. Rice was well cooked. No strong garlic smell. Just a pleasant soft aroma.
On first glance, it is just a properly cooked chicken rice. The secret ingredient was the sauce. Not really that spicy, u can taste a right blend of salty and sweetness. The chopped garlic and chilli reminds you of its thai origin.
The best way to eat this chicken rice is to use a spoon and scoop the delicious sauce. Sprinkled all over one piece of chicken like salt bae. But please dont abuse the chicken meat. Just put into your mouth. Follow up with a spoon of rice. If its too dry, sip some soup (optional). All in one. This enhances the overall flavour.
Next I savour the wonderful taste of the chicken feet soup. This I tell you! This is the hidden gem. Soup is rich, lots of pepper, a pinch of ginko nuts, with a handful of wolf berries. Marvelous. The meat of the chicken feet just melts in your mouth. Just spit the bones out like a 1960s disney cartoon who just ate a...
