Je Daeng Thai Isan — Restaurant in Thanon Phetchaburi Subdistrict

I was there for dinner on May 9 and lunch on May 10.

The restaurant is right on the main street. It's a typical, middle-sized local restaurant, with a cooking station outside, and a bit of noise from people talking. I think there are seats upstairs also, but I sat on the first floor. The seats in the corner are a bit dark I think, but that isn't really a bother to me. And yeah, I saw a lot of Thai locals eating there too.

I travelled alone so the food I ordered was quite simple, just around 100 bath a meal. One time I ordered a crab fried rice and a mango smoothie, and the other time was a pork fried rice. The fried rices were served fast, hot and nicely seasoned, although the crab one still had crab cartilages in it. The mango smoothie was sweet and refeshing.

The staffs were nice and friendly, and they speak English fluent enough to smoothly take your order. The bill was in Thai, but they let you check the bill, and if you remember what you ordered, it's not...

Patronised this restaurant 3 days consecutively for my dinner! The food portion were generous, fresh and taste so great! Brought my Thai friend here, even he says the food really so good! This restaurant open till late, 3-4am if not mistaken. This restaurant got 3 levels, all are aircond, eating spicy and hot food without so much of sweating! Walking distance, around 5 mins from Ratchadewi BTS Station. Please try the Yam Pla Dok Foo (Crispy Fish w Green Mango Salad), Goong Ob Won Seen (Ginger Shrimp w Glass Noodle served in pot), Tam Kao Phod Goong Sod (Corn & Shrimp Thai Salad), Phad Gai Mhed Ma Mwuang (Stir Fried Chicken w Cashew Nuts), Tomyam Seafood or Shrimp, Sour Spicy Pork Rib Soup, Gaeng Som Cho Om Goong (Sour Spicy Tamarid Soup w Shrimp and Omelette).

Do not forget to order their ice blended (coconut, mango, pineapples etc).

they have a huge selection of menu, they have almost everything. we tried the instant noodle tomyum and it was a banger. we asked for the protein (previously shrimp) to be changed to chicken and pork. the staff agreed on it without any price changes. we ordered small crab rice for take away as well. it was packed in a plastic container and we were given cutlery as well. the portion was a lot and they were generous with the crab. overall with the quality and quantity that they offer, it s very affordable. totally worth a visit if you are craving for something to eat.
