Colonnade — Restaurant in Thung Maha Mek Subdistrict

We arrived at the restaurant for Sunday Brunch at 12:30 PM which was just 30 minutes after the buffet opened, but the lobster sashimi and lobster on ice were already gone from the buffet line, which was very disappointing. If you’re going to advertise buffet including fresh lobster, make sure you actually have the capacity to provide it throughout the service period. Additionally, the crabs also didn’t look fresh (see picture) and they had clearly been sitting out for hours with no refill at all.

Most of the waitstaffs were attentive and provided great service, but the chefs at each station really need to improve their attitude and service mindset. Some looked unhappy and were unwilling to offer any recommendations about the food they were preparing especially most of the chefs at the pasta stations (Poy, Nampueng and another old lady).

I once had a breakfast during my stay at this hotel last time. The breakfast was so great that I have to come back for a meal and it was worth it!

All of the food was delicious, both the meal and the desserts. What I am particularly impressed is the way the staff treat us. They really take extra care of us, we did ask for honey to eat with the cheese. But they gave us quite a lot of honey, since we didn’t want to waste food, so we ask if they can help turn it into honey lemon drink. They gladly did it for us and it was yummy.
