Trattoria@22 — Restaurant in Thung Phaya Thai Subdistrict

Inasmuch as I avoid eating in restaurants in hotels (unless they’re famous for their food), Trattoria@22 was an exception. During the 12 days we were in BKK, we returned 3x.

Located on the 22nd floor of Eastin Pathaya, the views were incredible. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in the Mediterranean theme which added to an even more relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The service was always excellent, friendly, attentive, professional.

The food was great. We liked the appetizers best, ordered the straccatella with pita in 2 separate occasions. They had alcoholic drinks as well as mocktails. They have vegan options and we tried the cauliflower steak and the quinoa salad, both were excellent (cauliflower was a tad too soft but it was easy to overlook it because it was so savoury and flavourful. The yogurt with pomegranate was also quite interesting and delicious. Pita bread was always served fresh and hot, really wonderfully made.

The restaurant is spacious with spot-on interior design and a cozy vibe. Dividing the seatings into smaller areas makes it feels more intimate and private.

The food overall was good. The complimentary fresh and warm bread basket came with toum dip and vegetables. The ravioli was nice, filled with pieces (not grounded) of foie gras. The lamb and chicken kebab was fragrant and tender. However, I did not quite like the avocado hummus with the quaint bitter aftertaste.

The service was impeccable. Thank you all the attentive staff, especially K. Max, for the warm and gracious service.

The only downside of today’s meal was that they do not offer any alcoholic beverages yet. Anyhow, I will definitely come back...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria@22, located on the 22nd floor of the grand Easton Hotel in Phayathai. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the city, which alone makes it worth a visit. The ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable, providing an ideal setting for both casual dinners and special occasions.

The kebab, one of their standout dishes, was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful, seasoned just right to bring out its natural taste. It was served with a side of fresh vegetables and a savory sauce that complemented the dish beautifully.
