Tried to get on this before but was full so we went on the Chao Phraya Princess which was excellent we enjoyed it so much booked this this one for the following day. Left to stand for ages made as it was very late. Made to sit on inside so no chance to take photos. Drinks only beer included when it clearly states on their web site hard liquor is the only one you pay extra for, not true wine and soft drinks not included so kids don’t get a drink. Food ran out in ten minutes and was terrible. Seafood was on the upper deck only and was only prawns which I decided to avoid. Everything was self service which was a nightmare as they pack out all 3 decks! Beer was warm and flat as it was self service yet again from Kilmer jars. Entertainment last just over half an hour and was awful the reason for its sudden end they then moved to another deck to repeat it! Singing apart from one lady boy was dreadful. It was cringey they had audience up to sing wasn’t aware I’d paid for karaoke! They also had people up dancing which was not child appropriate as it was lewd and prerogative. Bar closed 45 minutes before the end. You are then frog marched to pay which they also got wrong so had to do this twice meaning two card fees. The whole thing was charros with people wondering around the whole night. Despite leaving late still went back at the same time. Leaving everyone was rushed. The difference between time on on Chao Phraya Princess the day before was unbelievable on there you got Excellent fast table service Yes you paid for drinks but they were extremely cheap had 6 large pitchers and a bottle of decent wine under £50. Food did not run out Loads of choice for seafood Sat outside able to take great photos Entertainment was fabulous and went on for about 1 and half hours Had the best night on the princess can’t say this about the White Orchard it was the worst evening out I have ever had if I could have left I would have!!!! No dress code either please save your money and go on Chao Phraya to have the best night out rather than this one which will be your worst. Everyone was...
Read moreThe White Orchid River Cruise was one of the absolute highlights of our recent trip to Bangkok, a truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
We had booked well in advance and had specifically requested a vegetarian meal. To our pleasant surprise, when we boarded, our table was already beautifully set with the full vegetarian spread, which meant we didn’t have to wait in the buffet line when it opened. That thoughtful touch really stood out and showed their attention to detail and guest preferences.
The quality of the food was excellent, with a great variety of flavorful dishes. For those who enjoy a drink, the unlimited beer offer is a great addition (though I do wish it was served a bit more chilled.....the only minor suggestion I’d have).
The live performances and entertainment onboard were top-notch, from traditional Thai dances to upbeat live music that got the whole crowd going. It was lively, fun, and added so much energy to the cruise.
We chose the evening cruise, which was the best decision. It gave us the unique opportunity to experience both daytime and nighttime views of the Chao Phraya River. Watching the iconic landmarks light up as the sun set was magical, temples glowing, bridges lit up, and the overall city vibe coming alive in a whole new way.
From the service and hospitality to food and entertainment....everything was spot on. I’d absolutely recommend this cruise for couples, families, or even solo travelers looking for a perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and cruising along Bangkok’s...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a relaxing evening in Bangkok, this dinner cruise is definitely worth considering—especially for the price.
Check-in opens at 5:00 PM at Asiatique, which is a great spot to hang out before the cruise. There are plenty of shops, food stalls, and even the Asiatique Sky ferris wheel if you want to enjoy the view while waiting. No need to rush, as seating on the cruise is assigned.
After checking in, you’ll receive a wristband and details on when and where to board. Boarding is smooth, and once you’re on the boat, a staff member will guide you to your table. You’ll be welcomed with a drink and light snacks while everyone gets settled.
There are restrooms on the first floor (separate for men and women), but during our trip, the first floor was closed and everyone was seated upstairs on the open deck. Honestly, that made the experience even better—the views, the breeze, and the ambiance on the upper deck were all spot on.
Once the cruise sets off, the buffet opens. The food was decent—nothing fancy, but good enough for the price you pay. There’s unlimited beer, and seafood is served one plate at a time per person. You can go back for more, just not all at once. The seafood was fresh and enjoyable.
Throughout the cruise, there’s live music, performances, and dancing, which adds a fun touch to the evening. The whole ride lasts about two hours, and the route along the Chao Phraya River is scenic and peaceful.
All in all, it’s a solid experience for the price—good food, great views, and a chill way to spend the...
