A Slice of France in Surasak: Our New Favorite Bistro in Bangkok Stepping into this quaint French bistro on the streets of Surasak felt like discovering a hidden gem, and what a find it was! In a city where "French" can sometimes mean overly formal and pretentious, this spot is a breath of fresh air. It's truly unpretentious and beautifully rustic, with an immediately homey atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at ease. From the moment we walked in, the warmth was palpable. The highlight was undoubtedly the great conversation with the French owner, who was as charming and welcoming as the bistro itself. It's always a good sign when you see locals, and true to form, the restaurant was filled with French people enjoying their meals—a testament to its authenticity. And the food? Oh, the food! This bistro delivers the best of French comfort food. Each dish felt like it was prepared with love and tradition, hitting all the right notes of richness and flavor without being heavy. It’s the kind of cooking that transports you straight to a cozy kitchen in rural France. This is definitely one for the books and a place we'll be returning to again and again. If you're looking for an authentic, delightful, and truly memorable French dining experience in Surasak, look no further. This bistro has perfected the art of making you feel right at home while serving up incredible, comforting...

After 5 minutes we met our host, who was warm and welcoming to one and all, including the one and 4 year old grand kids. There was only one other person there. When I say insisted it is a great understatement. He became loud and extremely rude and I became worried for the safety of my family as he began banging furniture and yelling. My daughter was distraught and the 4 year old upset terribly. Considering we were the only people there what can we draw from this other than this person is unstable. People don't consider how their behaviour can affect others, especially when they display no self control...
