LAO KHANG WAT - Thai Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Yan Nawa Subdistrict

decided to visit this cute little shop close to my stay for a local thai breakfast….. I love soup and love that it’s a breakfast dish in thailand!

I had the crispy pork soup which came in a lovely broth with a lot of some kind of green leafy vegetable. the broth alone was very fragrant and needed no other sauces added to change the flavour. the pork was crispy and there was a generous portion served.

there was a bit of a language barrier as i only speak english but google translate and picture menu made ordering very easy.

the ladies even brought a small bowl of another soup with 2 meatballs out for me to try. also delicious!

i think i found my new breakfast spot while i stay this...

A delicious bowl of Kuay Jab. If you are a fan of this special Thai-Chinese dish: this is your place. The soup is rich and peppery and the noodles have a great textures. Crispy pork is indeed crispy and juicy. Very tasty package :)

The owner is very nice and sweet. Price is standard for Kuay Jab in Old Town. 60 Baht. And there is a nice coffee shop next...
