What a great place! Our first night in Tunis (2nd trip) and after a nap, we were hungry. The owner is charming, welcoming and very friendly. You need not be intimidated, the food is a comfort. Aziz will walk you through your options in English and French. My partner says the fries are fantastic, crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle, just the way you want them. Salted to perfection. Portions are generous. Go! We will be back.

Was recommended this place from the staff at the Dar I was staying at. After travelling for 12+ hours, this was my first taste of Tunisia and it hit the spot. The chapatis were made fresh to order from scratch, so expect a bit of a wait. This is in addition the line up, which should be a testament of how popular this place is with locals.

OMG I love this place! It’s my favorite place to get Malawi in the old Medina of Tunis. It’s run by a family of three, a father and his two sons. They are so kind and cheerful. I have been literally going there once or twice a day for my entire stay. I like the setup, the cleanliness and their service. I highly recommend this place.

A pesar de ser un buen sitio para hacer un parón para saciar el hambre en una de las zonas más bonitas de la medina, no volvería a repetir. La comida está buena y tiene buena relación calidad-precio, el local tiene una bonita decoración (dentro no hay hueco para comer, o pides para llevar o lo tomas en una de las 3 mesas que coloca en el exterior), no se demoraron en exceso teniendo en cuenta toda la gente que había y cierran tarde (22:30 más/menos). Lo que no me gustó fue el trato hacia sus dos empleados, gritándoles y metiéndoles prisa para que hicieran su trabajo más rápido delante de toda la gente sin importarle. Sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que el chico que se encarga de las masas tiene bastante trabajo pues, todo lo de su carta, se hace con masa. Si mejorara en ese aspecto lo recomendaría sin dudas.

This a great little place in the Medina for excellent sandwiches to enjoy in the adjacent small plaza or wherever you want to go. The staff there are helpful and friendly… with delicious kinds of sandwiches or local pizza. Definitely worth a try, and more than once!

Tasty food, great service and CLEAN. Lots of places around, but here you see lines of people including locals. I actually liked the chapati more than malfouf. The place is run by father and sons and they speak English :). Will come back.
