Honestly not sure where to start. This was Yemeksepeti order for delivery, which has 7.7/10 rating currently. It should be a 1 and I don’t say that about any restaurant.
My expectations were low and China Magic Box Sushi managed to be worse than I expected. In general it seems unfortunately in Istanbul you should just stay away from Chinese / Sushi / Ramen or anything Asian unless you are eating in person.
Here’s what we ordered:
Hot and sour soup - bad, inedible, had mystery meat Ramen - not even using ramen noodles and the broth is not Ramen broth? I’m honestly not sure what the chef thinks they are making here. It’s a flavorless oily blob of “soup” Sushi - all the sushi options have cheese in them and the only fish option was Salmon. No tuna or other options you would expect from a place with sushi in the name General Tso Chicken tastes like they took frozen chicken and poured the hot and sour soup on it Fried rice - my white grandma from America makes better fried rice
Overall just don’t even...
Read moreCozy place a little bit off the Istiklal street and far from the crowds, almost 4 tables for seating and the decoration and vibes are calm and friendly. The guy who was helping us in ordering is friendly helpful. The food wasn’t bad, so fresh and the rice is well cooked, beautiful simple presentation. I have only few remarks hopefully for the place to fix it because it’s worth a visit, First the table wasn’t cleaned and ready for new customers, The toilets weren’t clean as well, We had to ask the gentle man for sticks and Soya bowls, it should have been served with the sets already. One more thing I didn’t like is mentioning the service fee on the check, it’s not worth it and less than 5$, we usually keep tips in the end but didn’t like this idea. After the meal we were served a fortune cookie, it was cute. Recommended but needs some little...
Read moreIm a sushiholic and that was some very good sushi , BUT the service was a bit shameful, the tables were fairly clean, the staff is friendly and helpful but ( ordered a set with california pieces got a different set, forgot my coke twice, had to ask him twice for mini bowls to pour my soya sauce, had to go to the other table to bring my own chopsticks, a piece of the set fell off while bringing my order, said he will make more but didnt ) now all this is technicaly not a major problem i dont mind them but whats annoying is the bill where there was a service fee wich im totaly fine with and respect but at least there has to be a good service in return. Overall the place is cosy tucked in a street with no noise, could use alot of work to improve especially with the music that was on that had nothing to do with a...
