Pilavci Kahvaltici & Corbaci — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

The food was good and decent for local street food but we were outrageously charged (maybe 5 times what we should pay) only because we are tourists and don’t speak Turkish! It was our first day in Istanbul so we were not aware about prices… there was no menu or prices display so we simply ordered 2 döner meat with rice and ayran like everyone… we you want to leave and pay, they type the price on a calculator… later in the evening, we found we were extremely overcharged! Such behavior ruins the image...

I really liked to eat here with my wife, the staff doesn't speak english but they do their best to help you.

We have tested chicken sandiwich take away ( 2 sandiwich for 120LT) and tasted better than taksim ones.

Most of clients of this restaurant are locals which explains the prices and good quality of food. Recommended and will comeback again

Wir waren am letzten Abend (05. September 18) im Pilavci... durch Zufall. Aber es hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Leider gab es nicht mehr alles zu Essen, aber das was wir hatten (Linsensuppe, Chicken Kebap mit Reis, gefüllte Paprika und Tomaten-Gurkensalat mit reichlich scharfen Peperoni) war sehr lecker. Preis: unglaubliche 61 Lira!!! Das ganze Personal ist superfreundlich. Abschließend gab es noch einen Cay. Ich hatte vergessen das Foto von außen zu machen, weshalb wir später nochmal vorbeigegangen sind. Dort angekommen wurden wir direkt hergewunken und auf Tee und Kaffee eingeladen...mit Händen und Füßen, Mehmet's Englisch und dem Google Übersetzer haben wir uns über eine Stunde unterhalten ... ein bischen Politik, aber viel mehr über Autos, Familie und Beruf.
