Öz Karadeniz pide kebap — Restaurant in Fatih

Good recommendation from a Syrian friend i met at the Spice Market in Istanbul. I wanted something local and easy, so I walked to this restaurant after my spice shopping. The servers were friendly and nice with me and my friend although they didn’t speak much English. We somehow managed because the menu is easy to understand. The environment isn’t something fancy but friendly to foreigners as well. Prices are moderately good, i love the Ezme and the meat kebab to go with the thin bread, I called that Lavash. It’s simply something I would love to come back and eat again....

The best food we've had in Istanbul so far. Everything was piping hot and freshly made. Grilled cheese and fresh bread served on the house. Pide and tavuk dishes were spot on, customer service unrivalled in our 8 day trip in the first week of November. I've been instanbul 3 times before in recent years and every one of our staples have deriorated in quality and service over time but Oz Karadeniz Pide Kebap has redeemed Turkish food for us again!! Must try after a day in Fatih Mosque and Market...

I recommend this place to everyone, who want to try local food. We had a lahmacun and a pide with meat&eggs. The service is fast, the food is delicious and prices are reasonable.
