I do not recommend choosing this restaurant. When settling the bill, I initially paid 1800 lira with my credit card, but the restaurant claimed the transaction failed. Although I received a message from the bank confirming the payment was successful, I trusted the business and chose not to retry with the credit card, instead paying 1800 lira in cash. After returning to the hotel, I contacted my credit card bank, and the bank repeatedly confirmed that the transaction had been successfully completed and could not be canceled. While 1800 lira is not a large amount, such fraudulent behavior is truly unacceptable. I hope this is merely the isolated behavior of a malicious business. I do not intend to file a complaint because I have no evidence to prove I paid in cash, and the restaurant would never provide the surveillance footage from that time as evidence; otherwise, they wouldn’t have committed fraud. I have traveled to over a dozen countries, and this is the first time I have encountered such a situation. I may not visit Turkey again. Unfortunately, this experience casts a shadow over the legacy of the great Byzantine and Ottoman empires. By the way, their food is really good.

Bu restoranı seçmenizi önermem. Hesap öderken önce kredi kartımla 1800 lira ödedim, ancak restoran işlemin başarısız olduğunu söyledi. Bankadan ödeme işleminin başarılı olduğuna dair mesaj almama rağmen, işletmeye güvenerek kredi kartını tekrar denemek yerine 1800 lirayı nakit olarak ödedim. Otele döndüğümde kredi kartı bankamla iletişime geçtim ve banka işlemin başarılı olduğunu ve iptal edilemeyeceğini defalarca teyit etti. 1800 lira büyük bir miktar olmasa da, bu tür bir dolandırıcılık gerçekten hoş değil. Bunun yalnızca kötü niyetli bir işletmenin bireysel davranışı olmasını umuyorum. Şikâyette bulunmayı düşünmüyorum çünkü nakit ödediğimi kanıtlayacak bir belgem yok ve restoran o anki güvenlik kamerası kayıtlarını kanıt olarak sunmaz; aksi takdirde zaten dolandırıcılık yapmazlardı. Onlarca ülkeye seyahat ettim ve ilk defa böyle bir durumla karşılaşıyorum. Muhtemelen bir daha Türkiye’ye gelmeyeceğim. Ne yazık ki bu tür bir deneyim, büyük Bizans ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun torunlarının mirasına gölge düşürüyor. Bu arada, yemekleri gerçekten güzel.
