Topkapı Cafe — Restaurant in Fatih

Very attentive staff!! (I am being sarcastic), we found seats ourselves, the staff was kind at least give us menus, we waited at least 15 minutes to call to order (only few customers sitting here), they were busy hiding at the corner, chit chat. No food service at 9am, so we just drank coffee, it is just in good location due to no other food places around here. In the same place it has tour booking biz, maybe they focused to this more than selling food. By the way, overpriced in every ways, lousy by the guide calling customers. If nowhere else, then it was here where Turkish hospitality was invented! It was a very hot summer day in Instanbul and I was on the brink of dehydration. When I entered this place Şahin instantly poured me a glass of water and cracked the funniest jokes. When I came to pay my bill he was cutting up a nectarine and shared it with me. The whole experience was genuine and beautiful. On top of that it is in a gorgeous area! The little steep street from the Gülhane Park to this cafe on its own is already worth a visit. We ordered Alfredo pasta. The menu did not say it had chicken in it. When we received it and saw chicken, we asked them to give us a vegetarian version. They took it back, which returned the same dish again and it still had a few pieces of chicken Left in it.
