From our arrival to our departure, I had a memorable and enjoyable experience. Not only was the Hotel situated in the most convenient of places, but the Hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with, but they were helpful, honorable, and hospitable. I particularly enjoyed my experience with Rohat from amongst the kitchen staff. He was a pleasure to deal with along with all of the other restaurant staff, the front desk, and the doormen. Very kind people. Mashallah, Mashallah, Mashallah
Conveniences: Restaurants all around some 24-hour Restaurants The Hotel has a Rooftop Restaurant/Cafe The SultanAhmed (Blue Mosque), Ayasofya Mosque, Museums, Bazaars are within 1 Minute to 5 minutes walking distance Travel Agency across the Front door Street Car walking distance Clean Rooms, well equipped, with fridge, blow-dryer, Rain Shower, Desk for business use Most people speak English here and you will find many English-speaking visitors here.
Drawbacks: Lack of Amenities, but they have a pool at the Palace location 5 minutes walk, that is it, everything else was manageable
We overall had a great experience. Very Short-Iived but enjoyable nevertheless. I will be very sad going back to Canada now that I have experienced this level of hospitality and brotherhood. If you want to enjoy Istanbul, this is the area where one should stay. You will spend lots of money otherwise on taxis coming into this part of town constantly. You will want to spend as much time as possible going to The Blue Mosque and praying with your brothers and sisters. Or taking the Streetcar or buses and walking are also very beneficial in this area.
The Ottomans built the most beautiful buildings that I have seen, with very pleasing finishes. There is a Masjid every couple of blocks apart. I have never prayed in so many different Masjids in any given year and I have been here for a week and a half, with yet 2.5 weeks remaining in my trip. Alhumdulillah for Memeth the Great for conquering Constantinople. Mashallah! May Islam continue to flourish, and may the people of Turkey return to economic prosperity soon Inshaallah, Ameen.
Thank you for a great...
Read moreBooked a Superior Double Room for 6nights and coming from Scotland, United Kingdom, let me tell you - I was disappointed. The rooms cost us a bomb and the room was so not what you’d expect from a “4 Star Hotel” or even remotely close to what is being promised on the website or hotel.com. The room is very under maintained, the balcony door hinges are broken, the shower area in the toilet leaks, the wash basin counter top has cracks, the shower’s hot water runs out at any given time, toilet smells time to time, no room slippers provided, TV doesn’t work for good, the rooms plug points are horrifying, their own kettle doesn’t go in the plugs, no room service available, no breakfast available for the price you pay available. The room stinks of leakage/drainage. The room starts to smell rank about everyday post 20:00. The Hotel basically only monetizes from you and every other person in the name of the “photo point of the rooftop terrace view of Hagia Sophia”. It gets noisy and thumpy at night. Not all staff are friendly, the concierge/front staff the night of our check in was quite in-hospitable especially for people having arrived first time in Türkiye. The other staff are helpful, especially Murat, he helped us on other days with directions and using local transports and even provided us an Istanbulkart for using. The cleaning staff are good, they do clean the room really well. The location of the hotel is good I’d say, but not entirely the best, it’s just closer to the main monuments like Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar; for everything else you need to take the Tram or walk. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone to stay or even visit the roof top terrace restaurant. There are many more other better quieter rooftop terraces which are well priced and calm and quieter....
Read moreThank you showing what a true hospitality is. From the moment you set foot on the doorstep of the hotel, you are transported into a universe of modern and ancient traditions alike. You are greeted by the scent of blooming jasmine as you float into the enclosed courtyard with marvelous floor tiles. The pool playfully welcomes you to dive in after a long, hot and exhausting trip. At the front desk you are welcomed with utmost respect and sincerity, offered strong turkish coffee and offered a soft seat on a silk sofa. Look up,look around- gilded murals and glass chandeliers, now YOU are royalty. I had luck to meet Iham, who made me feel so welcome, so warm as if I am at my friends house. My every question was anticipated, every wish granted and help provided. Ayhan instantly helped me plan a trip for the next few days, took over booking the tour guides and flights, taxi to and from locations, so I didn't have a single worry in my heart. Coffee was drank and we chose our room.WHAT A VIEW. We chose the one looking over Bosphorus with seaguls crossing the skies. That evening we went to the restaurant in the city, that is a part of the hotel. Go, enjoy the meal and views. Next day I met Erhan, who was most accommodating and friendly and helped with millions of my little requests. Room service is quick and quiet, reset our room as soon as we stepped out and left it tidy instantly. The bed in our room was phenomenal, the massage downstairs erased last traces of tiredness and rejuvenated my husband and I. You can also use hamam free of charge and the downstairs restaurant serves delicious breakfast that you can catch, even if you are a late sleeper. I would love to stay here again, next time I visit Istanbul, because how welcome I was made to feel. Thank you. Thank...
