Seven Hills Restaurant - A Three-View Marvel Seven Hills Restaurant, or as I like to call it, the "Three-View Marvel," is an absolute gem in Istanbul. The terrace is the place to be, offering sweeping, unobstructed, and up-close views of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and on the other side, the Bosphorus with the twinkling lights of the city in one breathtaking panorama. The food is excellent, prepared with meticulous detail. The fish was grilled to perfection, and the kebabs were flavorful and juicy. However, the bread and dips platter was a bit of a letdown since most Turkish restaurants offer an extravagant serving as a sign of hospitality. For a place that enjoys such a premium location, I expected more authentic and flavorful Turkish bread and a more abundant dips platter. The servings are fairly modest and on the pricey side, but the tastes are full-hearted so don't let these discourage you (just order a Lil extra for the table!) The staff, though super busy, were very hospitable. They provided my mom with a shawl for the sudden post-rain cooler July summer evening breeze and even changed our table to one with a better view, despite our last-minute reservation. Enjoying the sights of istanbul as the adhan echoes from the two mosques is an unforgettable experience! If you're wondering where to go for that special dinner night in Istanbul, don't think twice. Seven Hills Restaurant is the place to be.

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Location and Access: There’s clear signage from outside the Hagia Sophia Mosque directing you to the 7 Hills Restaurant, and Google Maps guided us there effortlessly. The entrance is welcoming, and an elevator takes you up to the sixth floor where the restaurant is located. Ambiance: Despite it being midday and quite hot, we chose to sit inside. The panoramic glass windows that open fully allowed a delightful sea breeze to fill the room, creating a pleasant and comfortable dining atmosphere. Food: We ordered the lamb chops and grilled chicken wings, both served with rice and chips. The lamb was tender and flavorful, while the chicken wings were succulent and soft. Overall, the food was very good. Service: The service was commendable, with attentive waiters ensuring we had a pleasant dining experience. Price: The only downside was the cost, which came to TL 3,250 (around £80). This is quite expensive for Turkey, but considering the prime location and breathtaking views, the price is somewhat justified. A great spot for a special occasion, especially if you’re looking for excellent food and an incredible view!

We went last week for brunch. We had such a lovely customer service on the entrance but when we arrived on terrace there was not the same feeling. First of all we found a hair in starter. We complained and a waiter changed the salad. We expected to get a replace salad. But he brought the other salad without any words. We said that it was other salad sort and then he said the other salad is finished, they do not have anymore. Service was absolutely disaster. We had 3 different waiter and there was in total 6 waiters on terrace. They were not professional. Also during service, a hat from waiters head felt on our table.. There was limited choice what can we order because they said to us that meal is finished. Only available choice was grilled salmon. With grilled salmon you receive one leaf of salad, one slice tomato and a half potato. It was just smashed on the plate and was not even nice presented. We were 3 persons and nobody was satisfied with taste, one of the worst grilled salmon ever. Location is amazing with perfect views on Hagia Sophia and The blue Mosque. Like on many other places, you will pay here for the location and not for food quality or service. Other thing is, you have separate place where to feed seagull and take photos with them. When we want to pay, a waiter reminded us that tip is not inclusive and how much we want to give for service. We gave something and I know it is traditional in Turkey to give tip, but they are not even aware that service was not ok and probably will never improve.

As Director of TURKEY Tourism USA based in New York, I am on assignment in Istanbul to compile our 2025 guidebook. This means that I am evaluating so much in Istanbul to advise travelers who are planning journeys to the city. My reviews are usually glowing but this time, I am afraid that I cannot in good moral conscious recommend Seven Hills Restaurant. I have come to expect a level of service here in Istanbul that can only be described as 'warm and kind.' UNFORTUNATELY, that is not the case at Seven Hills Restaurant. The server was (to say the least) doing me a favor taking my order. The soup arrived - luke warm. The first basket of bread was not fresh. The second was an improvement. The hummus was not enjoyable. It was only during the meal that I came to realize that this establishments gears toward busloads of tourists. You know ... get then in, fed, and out as soon as possible. So, while the views are terrific, the service and the cuisine overshadow the 'niceness' of this establishment. Unfortunately, Seven Hills Restaurant will not make it into our guidebook for it is not a place that I would value highly at all. Again, I reiterate .... if its views that you seek, this is unquestionably the place to go. However, if it's service and excellence in cuisine you seek, scrap plans to visit Seven Hills Restaurant.

Food was average, plates were dirty and they don't care about food decore as I may notice. The price of the salmon was 12 eur. We came and it was cloudy so they seated us inside in a not a good view place (even that I reserved before and said that I wanted a good view place but they didn't care about my reservation - when I came I said about the reservation but they seemed like they didn't understand English). So they seated us on a good view place which was the view to the chimney while I was requested a good view place which means view to the mosque. They are not classy as they present it on social media and their web page. Waiters were running around as they don't know which table they need to serve. People are waiting in line to take a picture on the upper terrace because it's free to just go upstairs and take a picture so be aware that while you eat there is going to be a line of people who take pictures of the view. Anyway, the only good thing about this place is the beautiful view. If you are going there, definitely visit while it's a sunny day so you can sit on an upper terrace with a good view.

We have been here three times and our recent visit was horrible. The place needs new management. 1. Breakfast for 35 EUR per person not including coffee. 2. No fresh fruits. The fruit was disgusting. 3. One half of Simit (local bagel) per person. 4. Hair in the eggs. When I told the waiter, he said it is because there were too many people in the restaurant 😀 and he never brought a new one. Bear in mind, the roof terrace is open space. The eggs were cooked with hair on them. It did not come from the air. 5. Old and most probably "reused" sausages. It looked like they served us already previously served food. 6. Asked for manager. They pretended that it's impossible to ever speak to the manager. 7. Rude waiters. When you ask anything, they just don't do it or ignore you. Except when you pay the bill and leave. They make it very quick to get you out. 8. Go to the restaurant next door, same view, better food and kindness of staff!! Not at Seven Hills. We will not return as long as this is the level of service and quality for such a price which is even beating the levels of the Ritz Carlton.
