It is a pity after reviewing this restaurant twice before that I have to share a very unsavory experience we had tonight. Suddenly credit card machine does not work and we are told to go and draw cash in non stop pouring rain after they refused to let us pay the next day as they have to close their books! Lady, not my problem!! It is a pity the owner is not there, and I am saddened to hear that he has cancer and not well. I hope he knows that you are sabotaging his business!! We visited in 2023 and in 2024 and this time brought friends for our 2025 tour, and I am sorry to say, we won't be back. And then to tell your customer that they have an attitude problem because of your shortcomings!! Not Cool!! I will never return to your establishment. Good luck for your future!! The food prices has also doubled since we were here last year( 400 TL for 5 half chicken wings?? Seriously??), amid the same exchange rates since last year. It is clear that you are trying to evade tax!! Do not make it your customers problem!! We own a restaurant in South Africa and have always offered our guests the opportunity to come and pay the next day if there are any problems. Not at Goreme Hahn. Make sure to ask them if their credit card machine is working before sitting down!! Sorry to say, but you will never see us again and we will never recommend this establishment to anyone else,...

Durante la mia recente visita alla Cappadocia, ho avuto l'opportunità di cenare al Göreme Han Restaurant. La mia scelta è caduta su questo ristorante dopo una ricerca accurata su TripAdvisor, dove ho confrontato sia le recensioni positive che quelle negative. During my recent visit to Cappadocia, I had the opportunity to dine at Göreme Han Restaurant. My choice fell on this restaurant after careful research on TripAdvisor, where I compared both positive and negative reviews. I can state without a shadow of a doubt that Göreme Han exceeded all my expectations.

My dinner started with a dish of Humus, which was absolutely perfect and served still warm. Subsequently, I tasted an excellent quality kebab and lamb shish. I concluded my meal with a traditional Turkish dessert, baklava, accompanied by delightful Turkish tea.

Adding to this, Göreme Han, while offering high-quality dishes, provides a gastronomic experience at an affordable price for a tourist. The restaurant environment is simple but welcoming. Parking is easily accessible right next to the restaurant, and the staff stands out for its courtesy. I highly recommend Göreme Han Restaurant to anyone wishing to experience authentic cuisine during a visit to Cappadocia.

Cappadocia’ya yaptığım son ziyaret sırasında Göreme Han Restaurant’ta akşam yemeği yeme şansını elde ettim. TripAdvisor’da dikkatli bir araştırma sonucu bu restoranı buldum ve hem olumlu hem de olumsuz eleştirileri karşılaştırdım. Göreme Han’ın beklentilerimi aştığını rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim.

Akşam yemeğime mükemmel bir Humus tabağı ile başladım. Masa başına hala sıcak bir şekilde servis edilen Humus, kremsi ve lezzetleri dengeli bir zevkti. Ardından kebap ve kuzu şiş geldi, hem kullanılan etin mükemmel kalitesini hem de pişirme ustalığını sergiledi.

Akşam yemeğimi geleneksel bir Türk tatlısı olan baklava ve Türk çayı ile tamamladım. İkisi de mükemmeldi; baklava, gevrek filo hamuru katmanları ve tatlı, yapışkan ceviz dolgusu ile sunulurken, çay tatlılık ve güçlülük arasında mükemmel bir denge sunuyordu.

Cappadocia’yı ziyaret ederken otantik bir yemek deneyimi arayan herkese Göreme Han Restaurant’ı şiddetle tavsiye ediyorum. This review has to be split into two parts. The first part is overwhelming positive, the second not so much. I will begin with the positive part. We ate here on our first night in Goreme. Although only two people were eating there we said we'd give it a go as it was recommended to us by our hotel. The food was very tasty, good value and the service was extremely attentive. One young male waiter in particular was extremely friendly and courteous trying to practice his English. However now to the negative part. Two nights later, after returning from a walk about the town at 11pm, we popped in to see if we could purchase two takeaway beers as the nearby shop didn't sell alcohol. The lady explained it would be more expensive as we weren't eating there. I didn't have an issue with this, but an older gentleman, I assume the owner kicked up a fuss and they proceeded to have an intense argument on whether they would sell us the two beers. He obviously didn't want to, for whatever reason I have no idea, but the lady won out in the end with the man still irate at having just received inflated prices for two beers. I only wish now that we just walked away and I definitely regret leaving such a good tip the...
