While walking through Cappadocia, we passed by this street food spot and decided to give it a try. The place had a lively vibe, with the smell of fresh food and drinks filling the air. It looked inviting, so we were curious to see how it would be.
We ordered four different hot drinks: Hot Chocolate, Hot White Chocolate, Hot Chai Latte and Hot Caramel Latte. The drinks were served warm and tasted quite good. They were a comforting treat, especially on a cold day. However, the way they managed the drinks could be improved. The staff would call out the names of the drinks when they were ready and when we asked one of them (a man) if a specific drink was ours, he simply said, “I don’t know, you hear for yourself.” It wasn’t a huge issue but it made the process a little confusing.
The place also has a toilet, which is convenient for anyone who needs it while enjoying their meal or drink. It’s a small detail but definitely helpful.
Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were enjoyable and the atmosphere was casual and bustling. If you’re strolling around Cappadocia and need a quick drink or snack, it’s a decent spot to stop by. A little more attention to customer service would make the visit even better but we still had a...
Read moreMet up with some friends for a quick drink which turned into a Turkish two hour session of catch up. I had a chocolate milkshake with lactose free milk. I know that makes no sense since it has chocolate ice cream, but the ice cream is minimal compared to the amount of milk in a shake. It came out in a large glass with a twisty placed straw. I forgot to take a photo as I drank that delicious cold concoction so quickly. The chocolate shakes in Turkey are some of my favorite. I don’t drink coffee so this is the next best thing. Sweet without being sickeningly sweet, and chocolatey with a rich cocoa flavor. My mum had a can of sprite. $9. TR 295. Decent pricing for a touristy place. I may have to go back and order another shake! They also have outdoor seating across from their coffee shop, along the footpath. It’s a lot cooler and you can absorb the ambience of Göreme and hopefully a cool breeze, and of course hang out with a...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE.
I couldn't believe this place has 5 star reviews. You wouldn't be surprised if you heard that they are having people give them false positive reviews.
Firstly, for a coffee place, the coffee is awful. I ordered a double espresso and not only did it taste bad, it came in a cappuccino cup (hinting that maybe they aren't as good baristas as the reviews would suggest).
I also ordered a pizza, which was 370 lira, so not in the price range suggested by Google maps. The pizza was worse than the cheap frozen pizzas that you'd buy in the supermarket.
At the time I was there, another customer was complaining about their basil burger, not even having basil. The menu offered a basil burger. I heard the chef saying that she didn't know what basil was, and I think they gave that customer their money back. I couldn't believe that the chef of a restaurant offering a "basil burger" didn't even know...
