Görkündere Cafe Breakfast — Restaurant in Göreme

You will drive last couple minutes on a non-asphalt road but plenty of car park at entrance. Beautiful geological formations right behind the cafe. So a good point to take pictures.

There is a high terrace, and garden tables also available. You will need a reservation, especially in the high season, weekends are fully booked.

There is a fixed breakfast menu, with vast amount of food to try. All are tasteful, no signs of cheap/problem stuff, simply no worries here. The service was good and we have been checked frequent enough, for service needs. Price was at $$ level, for Turkish standards. The bamboo chairs were comfortable, with soft and thick cushions. Quickly dropped in for a cold drink after some hikes around. The staff’s attitude was fine until I walked up to pay. I asked was card payment ok, suddenly was given attitudes. The dude pretty much sneered to my face and made loud comments something like “ paying card with only one drink?!” to other workers. Then they all laughed at you to your face.

Very unpleasant.

If you prefer cash just say so. No need to be mean. Never had this problems as other establishments in town were happily taking cards.

Not worth the walk or the price. They give you a ton of food for the breakfast but none of it is very good. The menamen was very bland and the eggs were over cooked. I’m sure there is a kebab spot somewhere in town it can get a much better breakfast for half the price. One extra star because they were friendly and it’s a beautiful setting.
