I recently made a 3-day reservation at the Imperial Cave Suite in Cappadocia at the beginning of the month to celebrate my partner's birthday in a beautiful location. We chose this hotel because of its restaurant and its proximity to the city center. However, our experience was truly disappointing and upsetting for various reasons, which I will list below:
The room we were given had a damp smell because the toilet was located inside the room, separated by a partially transparent window. This meant that you could see your partner while they were using the toilet. The middle part of the window was frosted, but it did not provide enough privacy for the bathroom.
Upon check-in, we were informed that the restaurant was closed due to renovations. However, we believe there was no actual renovation work being done; they probably didn't want to operate it due to low customer traffic. Still, it is the hotel's responsibility to inform customers about such important changes before selling the room.
The outdoor areas were completely closed for use, and no staff were available to assist us.
Breakfasts were served in the supposedly under-renovation restaurant, but after a terrible experience on the second day, we left our breakfast unfinished and didn't use it again. We noticed that the jars of jam and Nutella had been previously used by other customers. In other words, we were served leftovers from someone else's breakfast. When we reported the situation to the waiter, they apologized and offered to bring new ones, but we couldn't eat them anymore.
Since the restaurant was closed, we wanted to have a small birthday celebration with a cake on the terrace. When we asked the reception for a knife and fork, they said they couldn't provide them because the restaurant was locked. They ruined our last attempt at a celebration.
We were only able to use the hotel for sleeping and paid 200 Euros per night. Additionally, we watched people having fun with music on the terraces of nearby hotels in the evenings.
The only positive aspect was the daily room...

We arrived at the hotel late at night. They welcomed us very well despite the late hour. When we stepped out of the door early in the morning, we realized that we had landed on another planet. The view from the room was breathtaking and the comfort of the rooms was at a very high level; the cleanliness and order are truly admirable.
The staff was friendly, professional and willing to help in every way. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, especially the local products were great. In addition, the activities and guidance services offered by the hotel made it very easy for us to discover Cappadocia.
If you tell them which activities you want to do, they offer you options and leave the decision up to you, and then you can sit back and be sure that you will have unforgettable memories, they are very reliable in every way.
Words are not enough to describe the beauty of the hotel. For this reason, I end my sentences by mentioning the hotel staff.
I would like to thank Habibe, Osman, Hakan and Nazan who meticulously cleaned our rooms every day and all the...
