Although the upper management is attentive and messages you before hand regarding any requirements and stuff. I understood it is being done from a capitalistic point of view.
Horror stories ahead, very bad experiences.
I checked in at 9:30 in the evening, they took the full payment from me immediately when I reached the hotel, it was a bit of a shock as no hotel I have stayed in has taken payment immediately after check-in. I went to the room and asked for two bowls to cook my ready to eat stuff as it was late and the hotel didn't suggest nor have any restaurant where i could have dinner, they flatly refused even though they could have agreed by just providing me with two empty normal sized bowls. And then the worst thing that could happen to me happened to my horror the bed was not clean and on saying that to the staff the next day they got a bit annoyed, they supposedly changed the sheets. But still I had a persistent problem of rashes and itching during the next night. I couldn't sleep at all for two nights.
Then on the day of my checkout I was informed that my taxi will be arriving in ten minutes, I had told to the same person who informed me of the above to send the person to collect my luggage in ten minutes as I had to do some last minute packing. The person came immediatley after two minutes of my call. And I told him to wait for five minutes as I had to do some packing still. He went away without intimation. When after five minutes I asked him to send someone for the luggage as I had instructed earlier to send after ten minutes, he got angry and irritated and spoke very rudely and started arguing with me saying he could not send anyone again as his people had other work to do. He then told me that the person who came for my luggage was arranging my breakfast which I had asked him a night before as the policy of the hotel is that breakfast starts at 8am. Wherein I had requested for just plain sandwich at 7:30.
I had clearly instructed them about everything, This person was just not looking for helping me nor was he interested in hospitality or guest comfort. I had to bring down 2 suit cases of 20kgs each from three floors on the Cappadocia stone stairs which are very huge and risky.
The utilities (lotion) provided in the room were expired by 8 months !!
Water heater had water from previous use.
The room in general was not clean.
He arranged me the sandwiches though which was the only thing he did outside of his strict rulebook.
Very capitalistic and non hospitable approach of the hotel to say the least.
Lot of excellent other options available at lesser prices or same prices. With a ton of more facilities. This property is only a bed and breakfast and not fit for someone looking for a...

A very nice hotel but was so spoil with the male waiter name Hasan at Kaira restaurant. Very unhelpful and whatever request we ask he just reply in a very sargastic expression “NO”. Example change to spaghetti instead of penne, “NO”. Whereby the restaurant do offer spagetti. We don’t take beef, and ask to chance to mince chicken he say “NO”. Don’t even bother to ask chef. Very sarcastic and unwelcome attitude and really spoil our holiday as first day reach here. I hope the restaurant can look into this as the hotel is really beautiful but we are so disappointed with this.
Between, when we ask what is his manager name, he try to cover his name tag thinking that we want to complaint him and we won’t know his name. We said you don’t have to cover your name tag as I already saw your name. When the food we order came, we smell a beef smell (we are very sensitive to beef) and we ask him if this is content any beef example oil or whatever, he show me a very sarcastic face again and roll his eye up. I say can you please ask the chef to confirm and he say he already ask. I said pls ask the chef to come out he say NO CHEF HERE. I am so mad and said NO CHEF HERE but you said you already ask the chef? Again he show his sarcastic face again and ask the chef out. The chef is very polite and walk to the kitchen and said let him check and confirm to us no beef contain. But we are not comfortable as worried the pan might have been used to cook others dish containing beef that’s why it has smell strong on beef contains, therefore we just return the dish.
We ask MR HASAN how long he has been working there and he don’t want to answer and we ask again he said he don’t know. Other waiter come and apologize to us on his attitude but he just stand there showing his face like he is the owner of the restaurant.
We are here to enjoy not here to see this kind of gangster and unprofessional attitude!

Read moreI almost don’t know where to start with how amazing EVERYTHING about our stay was at Artemis Hotel. |Shortly after our reservation was made, Artemis reached out via What’s App to ask if we wanted to book our balloon ride. Which we did- so they facilitated a sunrise booking for us through Balloon Tours and they also arranged a shuttle pick up from the airport to take us directly to the hotel. We were greeted as long lost friends upon check-in by Michele who took ample time to arrange our tours and excursions for the length of our stay (we did the combined red/green tour, the balloon ride, and booked a spa treatment at their spa). Our cave room was incredible!! It had an extremely spacious and immaculate living area/bathroom. |In addition to the beautiful room, the hotel has the best rooftop bar in the area- I will say we didn’t go to any other rooftop bars but I don’t know how it could be better. The views were incredible at sunset and every evening they had a local duo playing live music (guitar/violin/cello) that totally suited the vibe of the surroundings. |Their restaurant on site served food all day-breakfast was included and the buffet lacked nothing. We ate dinner there as well-try the Manti :) It was incredible. |Our treatment at the spa was also top-notch. We’ve never been at a Turkish Bath before and it was a really cool experience!!|What sets this hotel apart from any other place we’ve stayed was the customer service. We were greeted as friends with all staff we had the pleasure to deal with. Three people I want to mention: Michele, Rose and. Burak. You are all amazing at what you do and our stay would’ve been just a stay without you:)|One more thing I want to note-the balloons were cancelled every day of our stay except the last. When we were worried about not making our 9 am flight, they booked us a taxi to pick up our bags from the hotel then pick us up at the landing site so we could experience the hot air balloon | ride. |I apologize for the novel but we were just so incredibly happy we chose to stay...
