I'm going to express my honest thoughts but over all it was fine for the price i paid and I won't deter their rating but see the details for if they matter to you or not.
(€72 for four nights off season in a mixed 6 room dorm) (also which appears to become a 12 bed in sumemr as half the room was closed but had six more beds...)
This hostel was good for what you pay for and it's in an excellent location. It's warm inside, they offer yoga in the morning by reuqest/ arrangement and have mats if you don't have your own.
I was in a mixed dorm and the sheets were clean and the bed comfortable, they provide a towel. The room was warm (great because it was freezing outside)
There are lockers under the bed for your stuff but they don't appear to lock and Noone uses them so the floor has bags everywhere.
The shower had hot water.
Some functional hooks for a towel and clothes inside of the shower cubicle would be beneficial as one shower had a bench thing but the other had nothing.
The toilet area was okay but if you're tall you'll be squatting sideways over the loo as the wall is right in front of the toilet and the toilet paper is on a towel rail on one side and a bin on the other (give the bin lid a sanitize and scrub please)
I heard it's mostly volunteer run so I will not nit pick because my standards of cleaning are higher.
But it's fully suffienct and functioning, a deep clean could be beneficial for the state of the bathrooms, rooms and throughout but that's at the discretion and choice of those who work there and not intended to be negative as I know they work long days for a long period of the year!
They offer a basic breakfast (bread, cheese, salad) with instant coffee and tea.
That was a bit confusing and they should clarify at check in what the deal is with that, you are supposed to eat with your room mates and whatever but Noone was in my room at the time and I don't know them or want to find them or wake them to eat breakfast together so I just skipped it all together and I had no regrets! Everyone kept to themselves in the dorm too.
If I was coming back to Göreme I would stay in a hotel for a different experience, but if you're not able to by all means...
Read moreNomads Cave Hotel is the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of Göreme. The mixed dorm i stayed in was extremely affordable, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated and well kept throughout. | The hospitality of everyone who works there is incredible, they all went above and beyond. With a special thanks to both the owner and the manager who made my stay even better. Everyone was so kind and friendly, and enhanced my experience of Cappadocia so much more than i could have wished for. | Then there is the roof terrace/ restaurant, which has stunning views and a really lovely vibe. It is the perfect spot to watch the hot air balloons at sunrise! The food is delicious, especially the complimentary breakfast. I also loved the fact that the backpackers were placed together to eat in the mornings, as this enabled us to meet and chat to people easier, especially as a solo traveller. The roof terrace is also a lovely spot to relax and dine in the evenings, with awesome tunes being played, a wide range of drinks available and a tasty, unique dinner menu to pick from. | Another bonus of staying here, is you can book your chosen tours directly through them for convenience, ease and the best, quality experiences. I especially recommend The Green Tour... A historical, well guided tour of Cappadocia including The Under Ground City, a stunning hike through the Ihlara Valley and beautiful views of Pigeon Valley. A hot air balloon ride is a must, and the most magical and beautiful way of seeing the landscape. As well as having a once in a lifetime, thrilling experience. Lastly but not least, quad bike safari at sunset was one of my favourite experiences. I did a private tour, that is unique to the hotel. Not only is it another way of experiencing the landscape and beauty of Cappadocia in a thrill seeking way. The guide himself is very knowledgeable of the area and takes you off the beaten tracks for a more unique experience, that only a local person can give you on a 1:1 basis. | Thank you to everyone who made my stay and experiences so incredible. I had the...
