I needed a place to stay in Goreme at short notice, so a quick search of Hotels.com got me a good deal on room for a night at Hostel Terra Vista. ||||A quick browse through the reviews of the hostel showed high praise for the manager, Ahmet, and I have to say they were all spot on. Ahmet was extremely helpful, quick to follow up on WhatsApp and email enquiries, and keen to ensure all his guests had a great stay. His brother works the night and is helpful too, though perhaps less outgoing.||||The room itself is fine, basic but tidy. I got a private double room - the bed was clean and comfortable, there was a cabinet and the facilities in the bathroom worked well. The bathroom had little bottles of shampoo and soap, and towels were provided (though I think this was only for the private room).||||Breakfast is offered, but it's also quite simple - easy-to-make and mostly vegetables and rolls. That's not a complaint, as it seems to be the norm in all hostels I've stayed at.||||My favorite part of the hostel had to be the rooftop terrace. It had as good a view as any of the town and surrounding area. Breakfast was served up here and I spent a couple hours each day up here just hanging out. ||||The only downside at the hostel was that I got woken up at midnight by some other guests coming back late. The landing between the rooms isn't big, and I guess the walls and doors are pretty thin.||||That said, it's really great on the whole. Tours can be arranged through the hostel, and discounts are offered when booking multiple tours at once. They offer an honest up-to-date exchange rate on Euros and US Dollars, and airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged for a small fee (30-35 TL; about 5-6 Euros).||||The location is a big big plus. It's very central and easy to access. "Cave hotels" seem to be all the rage, but you have to get up and down steep winding hills to get to those, and I think it's honestly not worth it to bother. Hostel Terra Vista is just one street up from the main road, and is easy to get in and out of between meals, tours or short shopping walks.||||As above - can't go wrong...
Read moreWe were two elderly couples travelling on a tight budget to Cappadocia for two nights. We were lucky enough to get two double rooms with en suite in this very quaint hostel. What a wonderful experience. We were welcomed by Ahmet who did all the paperwork efficiently and speedily and even though we were early he gave us one room that was already available so we could drop our bags and get out to explore. Ahmet is a fantastic host and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for him. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and had a large fan for cooling. In the bathroom there was soap and shampoo and to my wife's delight a hairdryer. In the mornings a good breakfast is served on the upper terrace which has a view to die for. Eggs (omelette, fried egg or french toast,my personal favorite) are served with endless coffee or tea. Preserves and plenty of fresh rolls ensured that we never left hungry. When it came to booking a balloon ride and the green route tour Ahmet was there to ensure that we got the best deal possible. Our transport for the balloon ride was late and Ahmet headed for the hostel at 5.30am to sort out the problem even though he had contacted the transport already. Service like this is exceptional and all of us appreciated everything he did for us. WiFi is available throughout the hostel and it is really relaxing to sit in the cave room and chat to other residents from all over the world. When it came time to leave, the hostel kept our bags for us while we enjoyed the afternoon and Ahmet allowed us to use all the amenities of the hostel until our bus departed for Istanbul. This is also a place that is popular with youngsters and during our stay there were school girls with teachers from our home country and they were having a blast. Cappadocia is very small so I think all accommodation is ideally located but in my opinion you could not do better that Terra Vista. Thank you Ahmet and all your friendly and efficient staff.We...
Read moreWe had a truly wonderful experience at Terra Bella Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and the staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, which immediately set the tone for our stay.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well designed with all the essentials provided. The bed was cozy, and we appreciated the little touches like complimentary water, fresh linens, and good room amenities. Everything was neat and tidy, which made us feel at home right away.
The hotel itself has a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It’s well-maintained and beautifully presented, with attention given to both the interiors and the outdoor areas. We especially enjoyed the quiet surroundings—it felt like the perfect place to rest after a busy day of exploring.
One of the highlights was definitely the food. The meals were fresh, tasty, and well-prepared with a good balance of local and international flavors. Breakfast was always a pleasant start to the day, and the service at the restaurant was attentive without being intrusive.
Safety and cleanliness were clearly a priority here. The housekeeping staff did a great job, and we always felt comfortable knowing the hotel was well looked after.
Most importantly, the service really stood out. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. Whether it was arranging small details for our comfort or giving us tips about the local area, they made our stay memorable.
Overall, Terra Bella Hotel is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, friendliness, and value for money. We left with nothing but good memories and would happily return again. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone who wants a relaxing and...
