Ladies & Gentlemen, Dudes and Dudettes - I'd like to review this iconic place, which has been one of the main attractions that is the soul & identity of the OG Abu Dhabi. This place is located on defence road, it had both indoor and outdoor seating. Note that everything served here is FRESH!! That's right - right from the petta bread that you wat to the kabbabs you have all freshly made and tasty as hell. If you're going as a table for two, I'd recommend the 1/4 kg kaabbas complete with bread, hummus, and pickles. There is olive oil on the tables if you'd choose to have it with your hummus. They do serve cold beverages. The place is frequented by people of all nationalities, and it's a delight to eat. The atmosphere can be better with air conditioning, but it's generally very hot in and around the resteraunt that's the only downside, but otherwise, I don't have any complaints. There are air coolers placed, but since the food comes in hot , it's gets a little humid inside. You can choose outdoor seating as well. But this is a must visit place in Abu Dhabi!!!...
Read moreIt's an absolute pleasure to eat at this place, every time... This is a unique place, some might consider it a bit run down, however I see it as a place that has retained its original character over a long period of time.
You get complimentary homus, pickles and bread with any order. I had tikka, kebab and arayes.
All grills are absolutely delicious, especially the arayes. The meat can be slightly overcooked, but overall its a great flavour.
Despite the lack of maintenance of the place, as well as the slightly overcooked meat, I rate this place 4 stars purely on the speed of services, consistency of food quality, flavour and most importantly thr food is served within seconds after being ready, it arrived so hot and fresh, you'll have to wait for a few mins before eating it. If the meat is cooked less, I'd...
Read moreWhen you go to this place you go gor kababs and arais. And they have the best kababs and arais period. I have yet to taste better tasting kababs and arais in UAE. Arais have to be eaten hot.
I have been going here since childhood and their taste and quality is still the same.
I have seen very great restaurants loose their taste and quality over years but not here.
Sitting areas are average, sitting outside is nice but sitting inside is very loud and chaotic, lots of movement from the waiters and huge openings where you can see and hear all the things going on in the kitchen.
Service is good. Nothing too special.
This is my most recommended place to eat in Abu Dhabi. G3t their kababs and arais and eat them hot and fresh and I promise you, you'll...
