I’ve visited with my family Sunday brunch. It’s called Havana brunch with latin food. Live music.
It’s in Sheraton on corniche. The hotel is overall in very convenient area with private pool and beach and good fnb outlets. One of them is Flavours. Restaurant is located on 1st floor, very light and sunny interior. With most seats overlooking pool and beach. Very cozy atmosphere.
Buffet doesn’t have too much options like some brunch offers, but flavors are on spot. Salads were delicious and in perfect balance. They even put an effort with presentation. Main course there is very nice braised beef option and live station to get your very fresh seafood lamb or a beef and of course chicken. Seafood grill, especially octopus and prawns were the highlight for me. Tacos were delicious and empanadas. Good variety of fish . Even sides like rice and veggies were so vibrant and tasty by itself.
There was a section for kids, my child adored nuggets and potato waffles and a pasta. We could choose all the ingredients for pasta which was amazing to have with a picky eater.
Deserts were delicious, enough options. Little ones loved marshmallows with chocolate fondue and I loved the fruits selection.
Restaurant is spacious, buffet’s location is very convenient that you don’t feel the crowd at all. Service was excellent. Ladies were on spot and very professional and made our family outing even...
Read moreAmbience: 5 Price: 4 Service: 3 Food taste: 3 Food variety: 3 The place is nice all in all, but we left there feeling unsatisfied with the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty but only a handful were good enough to bother with. One main dish was grilled hamour on saffron rice, which was down to bones and skin when we arrived at 1, I had to ask the waiter to refill which he did with something else (a white fish fillet) that had a nasty taste to it as if it was brought down from the freezer in a hurry to shut me off. The live cooking stations were poor. The Sushi stand was small, and contained nearly no fish, just a bunch of cucmbers in a wrapping, crabs in a wrapping and only 5 pieces of tuna maki. The charging plate was so small that every time they brought a new one it would disappear in like 5 seconds, & then you'd have to wait your turn to serve. Arabic cooking consisted of just one dish, and Indian of mostly every other dish. I wouldn't...
Read moreThis used to be a good place for a dinner buffet. However, the last time i went there was a complete disaster, i seriously question why this place hasn't been shut down, all the dishes were dirty with stains and they appeared very old. As for the food, it was unimpressive, lacking and it seemed that it took ages to get refills. The staff didn't handle requests well as they should, i asked if they had more tiramisu as it was gone, while one said there was none the another actually went inside to bring more. The only good think about it was the live grilling station hence the 1 star. Honestly fpr the price, you could do much better than this. I would say if the management is not interested in caring for the restaurant, then shut it down, or else you are going to get shut for...
