Pre Dinner drinks Above Cusco. Pisco, orange liquor, lemongrass, grapefruit, lime, bitters. Pisco is a famous Peruvian Lemon liqueur that packs a punch. Fell in love with it when in Peru. Delicious lip smacking lemon with strong citrus and hints of lemon grass. Yummy Mizu Japanese style cocktail. Lime leaf infused Gin with citrus mix. Blue dot is elderflower It’s a perfect starter. Light refreshing. Yummy.
I’ll preface this by admitting I do get carried away when describing good food and drink. That said I am not in this instance.
Scallops. Japanese scallops my favourite. HOTATE (Japanese word for the dish) Hokkaido scallops, lime, caviar Nigiri of raw scallops. So soft so delicious. Just a light flavour. Wow it’s so good. Bit of pickled ginger wasabi fires up the wonderful morsels. So bloody delicious. The scallops are so delicious I forgot to mention the caviar which adds a sensational deep delicious salty goodness. I can’t believe how good this is. Heaven this early wow. Just a perfect delightful delicacy. I could rave about this dish for years. My lips still have the flavours on them it’s an amazing feeling. Tuna TARTAR DE ATUN Raw Tuna, avocado, black tapioca cracker. There are tiny dots of wonderful avocado mayonnaise with a Japanese spice Tuna you lovely thing get in my mouth. The Avocado mayonnaise is unbelievable. I can’t describe it’s soft with a Japanese spice they told me 3 times and I still can’t explain it. Anyone can put tuna with avocado. It takes skill to blend the citrus flavours with the mayo to such an unbelievable deliciousness height. Just amazing. Loved it. Wow am I having a great time. The tuna which must be belly due to its amazing taste and soft melting in the mouth texture is delicious. The entire dish is a homage to a skilled chef. Wow the tapioca cracker is amazing. Crunchy hints of the grain with saltiness. Excellent accompaniment.
PATAGONIAN TOOTHFISH Patagonia Tooth fish. I love Tooth Fish. It’s only caught in the very deep cold oceans of Southern America towards Antarctica. This will be good. Glacier patagonian toothfish, hoisin honey, miso mashed potato. Interesting mix. Sth American fish with Asian hoisin and Miso mash. Hmmm sounds interesting 😬 Okay miso mash is so good it’s actually juice. Moorish. Nice start. Fish is so soft fluffy flakes translucent deliciousness. The hoisin honey is a perfect match to the miso mash. I’m in heaven again. Look at the single flake photo. The fish is glistening in the light even twitching with excitement. Or is that me. I just sliced the big piece. Look at the juices run over the plate. Amazing perfect cooking. The combination of flavour is fantastic. The chef has done a phenomenal blend of cultures flavour. It was my birthday and I invited my best friends to this place. from the beginning I still believed that waiting for drinks for half an hour was just a misunderstanding, even though I asked to bring us water right away without waiting for cocktails since we were very thirsty, in total only 15 minutes later they brought us water and 30 minutes after ordering we got our drinks. While we were waiting for the drinks, they brought us 3 setups (there were 4 of us), I said that we hadn’t ordered food yet, was it really for us, without a word they removed the setup with no sorry nothing . We weren't hungry and only ordered one type of maki and shrimp, which was very tasty, that's why I chose this place because I know the food is good. back to the service... the second round of drinks took less time but not less than 20 minutes, we really wanted to spend the evening easily ordering more but we had to go to another place so that our discussions would not be about how long we were waiting for drinks in an elementary way. The icing on the cake is dessert. I asked the waiter for the dessert menu, to which he replied that the kitchen was closed and it was no longer possible to order, we were not even warned about the last order, and it was my birthday and dessert is really important for me... my friend asked maybe at least have some cookies. after which the waiter simply left. I was completely upset that I brought my friends to such a place, I asked for the bill and i found there “wow birthday cake” seriously .. I was no longer surprised, I just asked to remove what we actually really wanted from the bill, but we were told that this was impossible. To end the exquisite meal, I savored a delightful mochi ice cream platter and a heavenly choco lava dessert. The mochi ice cream offered a refreshing and unique twist, with its variety of flavors and delicate textures. The choco lava, with its warm, oozing chocolate center, was the perfect indulgence to satisfy my sweet tooth.
