Horrific customer service. Went with 5 friends last night, got some drinks at the bar, sat at a table without a reservation sign. After over an hour and multiple drinks rounds later we were told by a hostess (who looked like she couldn’t care less and was rolling her eyes at us as we tried to understand) that we had to leave the table as a couple turned up and had a reservation. There was no reservation sign on the table. So we reluctantly gave up our 6 person table for 2 people and went to another nearby free table. The hostess chased us and said we also couldn’t sit there because someone might come and want a table from the door. We asked is it reserved right now? And she said no but someone might come and it’s “unprofessional to kick someone off a table for an arriving guest”. What about how unprofessional and poor service it is to kick a group off a table that 1) isn’t reserved and 2) everyone had drinks and had spent thousands at the venue already… to just be told basically ‘get off the table you have to stand’ in case more important people come. After speaking to a manager they said we could only have a table if we paid 400dhs each (on top of the hundreds we had already spent).
In addition when one of our party went to the bar to order a round of vodka lime sodas he was served ciroc vodka, he asked for the cheapest option to which the bartenders said that is the cheapest, the round was extortionate. After checking their menu turns out they do have a cheaper vodka alternative, Ketel One, but it seems the bartenders have been told to rip off customers.
Edit: there were tables with reserved signs. The one we were at didn’t have one. Highly recommend they ensure to label all reserved tables with a sign as all other venues do. Their ‘alternative solutions’ were for the hostess to tell us with an attitude we can go to the bar and stand with no offer of another table. Yet one of her colleagues when asked by us went of course you can sit at this other table and proceeded to get us more chairs, only for the hostess to angrily tell him no I’ve told them they can’t sit here, which her colleague seemed confused by. Only when we sought out a manager ourselves were we offered a table for 400dhs each, which we reused as we had already spent...
Read moreI had high hopes for celebrating New Year's Eve at February 30 in Dubai, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this restaurant was unprepared for the event.
First, the check-in process was chaotic. We stood in a long line for over 30 minutes, only to find that our reservation had somehow been lost. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unorganized, making it difficult to get any clear answers about what was happening.
Once we finally got seated, it took another 20 minutes just to receive our menus. The atmosphere was supposed to be festive, but the loud, cramped space made it hard to enjoy any conversation. The decor was underwhelming and didn’t live up to the expectations set by their marketing.
When our food finally arrived, it was a letdown. The menu promised gourmet dishes, but what we received was mediocre at best. My steak was overcooked and tough, while my partner's seafood pasta was bland and lacked any real flavor. The portions were small, and given the price we paid for the New Year’s package, it felt like a complete rip-off.
To add insult to injury, the service was painfully slow. Our server seemed disengaged and forgot several items we had ordered, including drinks. We had to flag down staff multiple times just to get their attention.
To cap off the night, the countdown to midnight was poorly coordinated. Instead of a celebratory atmosphere, we were left feeling frustrated and underwhelmed. The DJ played a mix of songs that felt out of place, further dampening the festive spirit.
Overall, my experience at February 30 was disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, especially New Year's Eve. It was a night that promised much but delivered very little. Save your money and find a venue that truly knows how...
Read moreAmbience was amazing but our server was terrible. My friend ordered a vodka soda but asked to have them brought separate so she was able to put the amount of soda in herself to make the drink that she liked. Server said that's not possible. She then asked what vodkas do you have but only offered the two most expensive ones. She asked another server and was then told that Ketel One was an option which is 20 aed cheaper. Later on, the server engaged in a 20 minute conversation about how February 30 only pays him 5500 aed per month and he must rely heavily on tips and that 20% is the norm that he's used to. I've lived in Dubai 8 years and tipping is NOT the norm. It put undue pressure on me to tip at the end of the night.
On a separate note, my original reservation was a week before but my friends who were flying over from Qatar's flight was delayed 3 hours. So by the time they arrived, they didn't feel like going out because they had spent so much time in the airport (and it was way past our original reservation time). When I called to cancel the reservation, the man who answered the phone said that my credit card would be charged. I asked him to have some compassion because it wasn't my fault that the flight was delayed but he wasn't having it. After arguing with him for 10 minutes, I asked to speak to a manager so the next woman that I spoke to understood my situation and just moved my reservation to the following week - she did this within 10 seconds!!
All in all, the food and drinks are ridiculously overpriced and the only thing I liked were the ambiance and the fact that you validated my parking. Your staff needs immediate training in...
