voco Dubai The Palm — Hotel in Dubai

My husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. This hotel is truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I was served by Gopi, and he was a very lovely person and made a brilliant first impression! Every single team member was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring—they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. There’s a real family feel among the staff, which creates such a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

The private beach is just a few steps from the hotel, and having food delivered right to your beach lounger is an absolute treat. The breakfast selection is brilliant with something for everyone, and the on-site restaurant is top-notch—every meal was delicious.

It’s rare to find a place that combines luxury, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality so seamlessly. We can’t wait to come back!

I would like to especially thank Jabed. We were so impressed with the level of care and professionalism shown by the cleaner Jabed during our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure our room was spotless and that we felt completely comfortable. Every detail was attended to with such thoughtfulness, and his warm, friendly attitude made a real difference. Truly one of the hardest-working and most dedicated staff members we’ve encountered. He paid so much attention to detail and kept all of my jewellery safe and handled everything with such care! A big thank you for making our stay extra special! I would also like to thank Osman, Jonaz and Bhim and another man who I unfortunately forgot the name of, who were the pool boys/ beach workers. They were absolutely amazing. So kind, welcoming, and always ready with a smile—they truly couldn’t do enough for us. Whether it was setting up loungers, bringing towels, or offering refreshments, their attention and warmth made our poolside experience unforgettable. Their friendliness and professionalism added such a special touch to our stay. Huge thanks to the whole team for making us feel so well looked after!

All of the Maison Matis workers were brilliant! The restaurant staff were absolutely fantastic—so friendly, attentive, and professional. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail really stood out.
