Al Baik – Al Rigga, Al Ghurair Centre, Deira
Al Baik, the iconic Saudi fried chicken chain, has made a strong mark in Dubai, and its branch at Al Ghurair Centre in Al Rigga is among the busiest. It brings the same authentic taste and value-for-money experience that fans across the GCC recognize, making it a hot spot for both locals and tourists.
Location & Accessibility
Located on the ground floor of Al Ghurair Centre in Deira, this Al Baik outlet is strategically placed. It’s just a few minutes' walk from the Al Rigga Metro Station, making it very accessible via public transport. Al Ghurair Centre offers ample parking, both paid and free depending on the hours, but it can get full during weekends and evenings.
Ambience & Cleanliness
This outlet maintains a modern fast-food vibe with bright lighting, clean counters, and decent seating. While the place is well-maintained, it gets very crowded during lunch and dinner hours, especially on weekends. Despite the rush, the staff manage to keep the environment clean, and trays are cleared regularly. The seating is basic, suitable for quick dining, not lounging.
Menu Highlights
Al Baik offers a focused menu centered around its famous broasted chicken, nuggets, fish fillet, spicy fries, and of course, the legendary garlic sauce. Popular items include:
4-piece Chicken Meal: Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned
Spicy Nuggets: A favorite among younger customers
Shrimp Meal: A tasty seafood option with unique seasoning
Corn and Coleslaw: Available as sides
Peach and Mango juice: Refreshing drink options
Portion sizes are generous, and meals are neatly packed even for takeaway. The chicken has a distinct flavor—spicy, crispy on the outside, and moist inside. Garlic sauce lovers often ask for extra!
Service & Wait Time
Service is generally fast considering the crowd. Staff are well-trained, polite, and manage high volume orders efficiently. However, during peak hours (especially 7 PM–9 PM), expect to wait anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes or more in queue. They operate a digital queue system during rush times, which is helpful.
Price & Value
Al Baik continues to offer excellent value for money. Most meals are in the AED 20–30 range, and for two people, AED 50 can get you a filling meal with drinks. Compared to other fast-food chains, the quality and flavor here are unmatched for the price.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
Authentic Al Baik taste from Saudi Arabia
Affordable prices and large portions
Convenient mall location
Friendly and efficient staff
Consistently clean and well-managed
Cons:
Long queues during peak hours
Limited seating inside the outlet
Food options are deep-fried—less ideal for those seeking healthier meals

The burger's size is generous enough to cater to those with a big appetite, yet it is perfectly manageable, ensuring a fulfilling yet not overwhelming dining experience.
The quality of the Big Baik Burger is where Albaik truly shines. The chicken fillet is tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior that adds a delightful crunch to every bite.

I highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be...
Read moreI recently visited Al Baik in Dubai, expecting the renowned quality and service I’ve heard so much about. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The first issue was the long wait time. Despite arriving during a non-peak hour, I found myself waiting for over 30 minutes for my order. The staff seemed disorganized and lacked the efficiency you’d expect from a popular chain.
When the food finally arrived, it was a major letdown. The fried chicken, which is supposed to be Al Baik’s specialty, was disappointing. The coating was soggy instead of crispy, and the chicken inside was dry and overcooked. The fries were under-seasoned and lukewarm, which added to the overall lackluster experience. The side dishes, including the coleslaw and garlic sauce, were mediocre at best, failing to complement the meal in any significant way.
The cleanliness of the establishment was another concern. The tables were not properly cleaned between customers, and the floors were sticky, giving an unappetizing impression. The restrooms were poorly maintained, with an unpleasant odor that made it clear they had not been attended to recently.
Moreover, the staff, although polite, appeared overwhelmed and inattentive. They didn’t check on the customers’ satisfaction or address any issues promptly. This lack of customer service only added to the overall frustration.
Overall, Al Baik in Dubai did not live up to its reputation. With the long wait times, subpar food quality, and poor cleanliness, it’s clear that they need to address these issues urgently. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location and would recommend looking elsewhere for a more satisfying...
