We ordered two dishes. Unfortunately we were not able to get the fresh fish. They were too big for 1 person and were only prepared by piece. We got the grilled shrimp and hamoun. My mom wanted to try a local fish. The grilled shrimp was really good. The hamoun was raw and undercooked at first. One of the waiters checked it with the cook and immediately took it back. After a while we got a cooked one. Overall the veggies and saus were not that special. But luckily the biggest part of the dish was the seafood. So for the food definitely 4 stars.
We ordered cold water but the other waiter brought us a warm bottle. Unfortunately he didn’t understand English and we let it be as he did not understand us.
While entering we wanted to sit on the side but the waitress told us it was all reserved. So we were placed in the middle row. After a while we noticed that the tables were not resereved as people wandered in and sat down stood up again and sat down somewhere else etc. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue for us but at both tables near our table people were smoking a shisha. This was very annoying with all the smoke coming into our direction. Especially when your eating. I felt nauseous after sitting there a while.
I’m not sure if I would...
Read moreI was walking Dubai Marina alone and I saw several restaurants. Beirut catched my eye because of seafood. I saw the patio pretty empty; so I asked a guy with a suit on, for a table for 1. He automatically wanted to sit me away from the rail and the 20 empty tables. I asked if I can sit on the rail. He seemed upset and like he was doing me a favor, he gasped and I quote “YES MADAME YOU CAN SIT THERE, BUT IF MORE PEOPLE COME IM GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE YOU” I replied “I’m sure you will manage with all the other 20 Empty tables” It was 3:30pm and I should’ve left. Your manager or supervisor made me feel not welcome. I’m an American tourist who works in the industry as well. And I would never make someone feel that way. There was a server that I would ask questions about the fish of the day and she had no clue what was going on. I asked to pay with AMEX she told me they accept it and then I found out they don’t. Instead of spacing out when it’s slow. I suggest train your staff especially your leaders to not make people feel not welcomed. Maybe racist or classist. The food was ok no one ever came back to ask me if eveything was ok. I was completely ignored. They were busy doing...
Read moreFirst time in my life I face such bad experience in restaurants 🙃 their service was really bad. The food was split and we received the salads 1st thing after 45 minutes and then alter after another 45 minutes we received the main course and what's more it was all cold and can't be eating hard meat like thus. Theny they took back the food to hear it up and we had to wait foe more than 30 minutes again and the food came back lightly warm not as hot as expected.. I personally won't repeat such an experiment. I was ashamed because I invited my friends saying we will eat Great seafood and it turned out the sea food is not fresh as well and we had to order from the meat grill menu. So we had dinner so much late and cold. I don't recommend them nor I will recommend such restaurant. And it's shame that it is Calle Beirut sea and I am a lebanese giving such a testimony against them but this was not a lebanese service that I am used to get.. because I know Lebanese restaurants are well in service and...
