We have been regular customers of this restaurant and usually enjoyed our visits, especially for the good food and beautiful location. However, our most recent experience last night was truly disappointing, particularly because we had chosen this place to celebrate the birthday of our dear friends visiting from another country.
Unfortunately, the service was the worst we’ve experienced in any restaurant to date.
We were a group of six adults and four children (including toddlers and babies), yet throughout the evening, no staff member made any effort to check on our table or see if we needed anything. Only one Persian waitress was assigned to our table, and she was clearly overwhelmed.
Here are the issues we faced: • Everything we ordered took an unusually long time to arrive. • We ordered tea, which came after more than 25 minutes. • The most frustrating part was the handling of the birthday cake. We had informed the staff about the cake in advance, but when the time came, they had no idea which cake was ours. We waited nearly 45 minutes (after 11:00 PM) for the cake, constantly asking about it, while managing tired and restless children. • When the cake was finally brought out — past midnight — it was done with zero enthusiasm. The two waitresses who brought it looked completely unmotivated and seemed like they just wanted to get it over with. • Shockingly, the hot teapot was placed directly in front of the children, instead of the adults, which was quite dangerous. • The cake was brought with only a small butter knife. No one offered to help us cut it, and there was no proper knife or cake spatula provided. When we asked for one, they seemed confused and unprepared. • In the end, we had to cut the cake ourselves with great difficulty and serve both the cake and the tea to our guests on our own.
To make matters worse, the live music that night made the atmosphere even more stressful. The female singer was not professional at all — her voice was constantly off-key and the volume was extremely loud, making it difficult to enjoy the evening or have a normal conversation.
While the food was, as always, good, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. A special evening meant to celebrate a birthday turned into a stressful night that left both us and our guests frustrated.
We sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously. A beautiful location and good food cannot make up for poor service, lack of coordination, and an unwelcoming atmosphere — especially on a night meant for...

Read moreFiruzeh is a standout among Dubai’s Persian restaurants, offering a truly immersive and authentic experience — and nothing captures that better than their traditional bread-making.
At the heart of the restaurant is a tanour setup using hot stones, not clay, to bake fresh bread right before your eyes. It’s a beautiful nod to old-world techniques, and easily one of the most memorable parts of the visit. The bread comes out hot, slightly blistered, and full of character — simple, honest, and deeply satisfying. Watching it made with care over hot stones adds an artisanal touch that feels rare in today’s dining scene.
The rest of the menu delivers classic Persian flavours with style. Grilled meats are juicy and well-spiced, the rice is fragrant and fluffy, and every dish feels generously portioned. It’s not showy — just really good food made with pride.
The ambiance is warm and culturally rich, with traditional design elements that create a sense of heritage without feeling overdone. Service is polite and unhurried, giving you space to relax and enjoy the experience.
Firuzeh isn’t just about eating — it’s about connecting with a tradition. The hot stone bread alone is worth the visit, but it’s the overall atmosphere of authenticity and care that will have you coming back. A hidden gem for anyone who appreciates Persian...
