Yinyang Connection Spa — Local services in Dubai

This is a review for Yinyang Connection Platinum Spa at Dubai Mall Chinatown. I came here based on all the positive reviews online. I was a walk-in, first time customer.

Be aware of hidden charges. I was charged $9 extra for using their "organic oil". They don't tell you the massage oil was an extra charge. In addition, you have to pay first before you get your service. They don't give you a receipt. I had to check my bank statement and that's how I found out. When asked about the overcharge later that same day, they said because I chose the oil (pointed to the small jars of blended oil with handmade printed labels - lavender, jasmine, eucalyptus, Ylang Ylang). They did ask me in the beginning which one I preferred. I chose lavender. No mentioning about any extra charges for it. I asked if I didn't choose the so-called organic oil, what would they have used on me. The female at the counter responded, "palm oil". I believe she made that up. They'll charge that extra $9 regardless. Being sneaky and not being upfront about it is bad business practice. I've never been to a massage place where I was charged extra for using their massage oil.

The massage itself was ok. Nothing special. I chose their Yinyang Signature massage. The music was too loud. I had to ask to have it turned down. The door had a see-through glass window, which means you have no privacy. One of the walls is a see-through glass as well with fake plants on the other side used as a shield. I was not comfortable while changing. I was not given a robe, slippers, netted panty to use. My female masseuse didn't ask if I had any problem areas she needs to avoid or that I needed to have it worked on.

Cannot believe they offer pregnancy massage. First 0 hygiene standards.the lady who was massaging wore her mask was on her chin .I kept reminding her that she needs to wear her mask as the cases are on rise plus I am pregnant and I was wearning my mask. I asked the receptionist three times have they sanitized the room No answer received. The massage lady conviently just forgot to massage my right leg however did on the left side. She never bother to massage my arms. We had to change the room in the middle of massage as it was extremely hot and stuffy, No apologies offered. I wish the massage center that I go to was not fully booked I would never step in here again and warn other pregnant women to avoid such unhygenic place in such a crucial time . NO WONDER THEY MAKE you pay before so they can subject you to such appalling service ...This place is a joke.

Response to the owner - I dont think so you care about customer service as at the end someone would bother to ask how was the massage - Would offer to apologize for the stuffy room provided and to my dismay when I mentioned that the room is hot the massage lady removed her shoes opended the room door and placed her sandal in betweem so we could get some ventilation from outside. IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE ????? AND A HIGH QUALITY...

I went to the Yin Yang Spa JBR for the first time today and booked a Deep Tissue Massage. My therapist, Sandra, knows her craft well. She completely adjusted to me, asked questions, and was friendly, but actually, no words were needed. She could simply sense what my body needed and what felt good.

The massage was intense and relieving—a superb Deep Tissue Massage. Spontaneously, we also added cupping, which loosened my stiff shoulders and lower back. She really got into the deep structures, and I am very grateful for this massage. The best massage I've had so far in Dubai, and possibly the best I've ever received.

I really like intense massages, and they are indeed hard to find. Yin Yang Spa is now my first choice for massages. Thank you for your excellent work! 🙏
