The worst pizza I ever ate. Bland food and poor service.

Cucina Mia claims to be an Italian Restaurant but from what I tasted tonight we are very far away from the true Italian Tastes.

Before talking about the food, let's take a while to appreciate the SLOWNESS of the service.

We sat down and wait almost 15 minutes to place our orders. No fork, no napkins, nothing on the table.

After 15 minutes, we received our water and coke after 30 minutes... and we are only talking about canned/pre-bottled drink.

Anyway, our starter took 45 minutes to reach our table. 45 minutes to receive bland food that taste like nothing: Both potato croquette and arancini were lacking condiments. They tasted pretty much like cardboard. At least the croquette were warm, the arancino was cold, the cheese inside was not melted and the rice was super overcooked.

Probably the ran out of salt, because everything, from the starter to the pizzas tasted super bland...

After these lovely and unsalted starters, we waited 45 minutes to get 2 of the 4 pizzas we ordered. After 1 hour and half, we finally got all 4 pizzas.

I really had high expectations on the pizza, but they crushed right after the first pizza arrived: soggy, bland, anemic pizza with a rubbery unsalted layer of cheese that tasted like NOTHING.

Now, that was not an Italian pizza, which is even okay, but believe me when I said that those pizzas tasted like nothing.

Bland flavors on a bland, soggy and rubbery pizza base... Una sciccheria, proprio.

So after 2 hours we left leaving most of the food we ordered on our plates since it was terrible.

The waiter told us that there were only 3 people managing the restaurant, that's why the food was terrible and the service was super slow... guess what? I don't really care. If you don't have enough people to manage the restaurant... STOP TAKING ORDERS/SITTING NEW PEOPLE AT THE TABLES.

Plus, being under-staff doesn't really justify the terrible quality of what we ate.

Even the salt in the shaker they put on the table was bland and "un"salted.

If you are looking for real Italian Pizza, please don't make our mistake and...

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! I’ve just been there 20 minutes ago and asked for the salmon fillet, when it came, I cut into it and it was completely RAW throughout the middle!!! No doubt about it, it was not cooked! I called the waiter over and told him and he seemed to think that was ok and could then sense my tone when I said again that it was RAW!! He called another waitress over and she took the dish from me but nobody came back to me! I got up and went over to the window where I could see into the kitchen and the ‘chef’ who had not cooked my salmon looked like a 15 year old apprentice!! Clearly didn’t know what she was doing and the owner is hiring young cheap resource or incompetent family members as a favour! They said they were cooking me another one, however had not asked me if I wanted another one and the first dish had completely put me off, so I just wanted to go. I asked them if they understood how ill that could have made me and they were barely apologetic, like it just didn’t matter to them! All the while, the actual manager was sat at a table nearby and never came over once until I asked for the manager, so she clearly didn’t care what had happened despite hearing me numerous times say the fish was raw! I explained it again to me and the waiter butt in and said ‘the salmon wasn’t cooked very well’ so I actually told him not to downplay the situation because it was completely raw and could have been harmful to me. Only then did he confirm it was raw. He still tried to charge me for the drink I’d had though, after all that!! The manager reluctantly told me it didn’t matter, so I left! They are clearly incompetent and do not know what they’re doing, there is a weird smell inside the restaurant and little flies everywhere, one of which was playing nicely in my Parmesan the waitress had brought me for the bread I’d already told her I couldn’t have because I can’t have gluten!! Shocking quality, chef is clueless and customer service appalling and they could have made me seriously ill! Don’t go...

What is the one thing in life you love the most? Mine is PIZZA. And I am pretty sure its the same with most of you. But living in a city like Dubai has it's downside. Its very hard to get that authentic Italian pizza we all dream about. Then I came across Cucina Mia located at Jumeirah beach residence. A dining experience that gives you the chance to enjoy the true Italian taste, or like they say in Italian ‘il vero sapore italiano’! They combine the traditional flavours of the Mediterranean with the passion and the zest for life that describe the essence of every plate on the Italian table! They will take you to the heart of the Italian cuisine, to Naples where Cucina Mia story begins.I am very much in love with the authenticity of this restaurant.
